Expected timeline with BCBS of MA?

I am glad to see this as I too have the same insurance but looking to get revision from lapband. I currently have had the lapband since 2005. The doctor performed a endoscopy in which found I have a non functional pouch, Looking for more information on all of this. Really worried as to what is going to happen.
  3. Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I have been on here, I was banded in 2009 and haven't lost done to goal. The doctor I had went out of business a year after I got my band. I really haven't had any problems with the band but found the weight was not coming off. I found a new doctor last year and he did a fill under fluro and found my port is tilted as well as the band. I had a endoscopy yesterday in which he stated I had a non functional pouch. I am worried to death right now. My weight gain started about six months ago. I am right back where I started. I have searched and searched to see what a non functional pouch is, no information found, Is this something to worry about? We spoke about revision prior to this appointment but I am unclear as to what this is means. Please if anyone has any information I would appreciate some insight. My next appointment is not until the 17th. I am really worried about all of this.

    Dear veterans...... Need help..... :)

Thank you for that, I just scheduled my next injection for my back. I want so bad to get back to exercising. The next thing is to find me a support group in the area.

    Dear veterans...... Need help..... :)

It has taken me so long to write this post. I first noticed the change in my eating habits when I was the care taker of my father which had cancer. After my dad passed away it just made me feel good to eat. Now that the scale is moving upwards I am miserable and unhappy about my decisions. It has taken me sometime to say this has to stop. The scale has moved up 15 pounds from my lowest weight but I now have a new problem. My back problems started a few years ago but the pain has come back with a vengence. I just need some encouragement from others to help get me back on the right track. The death of my dad was really hard for me but I know he is not suffering anymore. While I could use any excuse in the book, this is my life here. I am open to any suggestionsat this point. I can only blame myself for the choices I have made.
  6. Hello to everyone, It has been such a long time since I have been on the boards. I had my surgery 2009 and have not yet made it to goal, still have this last 25 pounds to go. I was wondering if the band has to have any fluid put back in after all this time or does it remain with the same amount of fluid with the weight loss. My doctor is going out of business and now I have to find another doctor in the Raleigh area. I will not complain about the band as the band has done what it suppose to do. I find myself not being able to eat a lot of things but I sometimes try anyway. The last couple of months I have had problems with the food not going down and getting sick. I just need some support because I know I can do this. The weight gain has only been 13 pounds in 3 yrs but I did not want that. I started out at 240 with my lowest weight being 173. My goal was 160 and I really want to get there but I am back at 183 currently. What would be some suggestions to help? In 2012 my niece was murdered and it has been a downward spiral for me. I have started to exercise everyday with a couple of co-workers but I just need some support right now. Feeling a little lost right now but need to find another doctor also. Any help would be appreciated.
