  1. Will the extra skin tightened up any at all or will it stay like this? Mine isn't too bad due to only having 70# to shed but after losing 33 I can tell under my arms etc..
  2. Ncbaby how many weeks post op are you? My 2 strictures let me drink some but very little. The liquid would splash back up and almost make me sick.
  3. Very hard to see how you can't lose weight after this surgery. Are you able to eat normally Marla?

  5. Relax, that's not a stand still yet. Your still healing, your first few weeks is water, surgery weight etc. Give yourself time. I felt good at 2 weeks, worse at 3-6,. And awesome after 6 wks

  7. Dee, I bake kale on 350 for 20 minutes and put salt and onion powder on it, it's like potato chips!
  8. Try tucking pillows behind your left part of your back so your leaning to your right a little. Don't try to lean on left at all yet. You will have to tuck a small pillow under your tummy on right side at the same time, it will take pressure off the tummy

  11. Don't be nervous Vicki, I had 2 in 2 weeks, you feel better than when u went in. Plus the medicine will make you sleep and rest after.
  12. I ate a boiled egg and teaspoon of spam spread and it went well! Yay me!
  13. Me too. I can't eat and if I do I get stuck. Already had to be ballooned 2 times in 2 wks for strictures. ..
  14. Nothing goes down and they have to use a balloon to open it
  15. I have had 2 one week apart and now a week later feeling it again. Thinking I might end up having surgery for it.. anyone else?

  18. K white, I'm 2 months out and am thinking I won't lose mine either. I'm a slow loser and only had 60# to lose, lost 30 now, hope my hair don't go with it!
  19. I was allowed coffee from day 2. I am 2 months out and still have 3 cups a day. They suggest you stay away so you don't dehydrate but just make sure you still drink other stuff too and you will do fine

  21. So Friday I was back in ER.. stricture was back. I could tell after 5 days things seemed tighter. 2 strictures 8 days apart.. procedure still the same, very easy, no problem.. I'm gonna be one of those people that have scar tissue issues. Always have.
  22. My husband had to take him machine too. When you have surgery the meds are so strong that your apnea is worse. . They can't control your apnea so they will have you use your machine in recovery if they see your having trouble breathing.

  24. I tool 4oz of catfish filet and sliced it thin, put in skillet with Ff grapeseed oil, lemon, cilantro, parsley, salt pep, fried it and dip it in dasionaise. .. yummy!
