  1. I haven't bee told how much water I need daily. I'm 4 days post op.
  2. Wow. I know it took my husband a month for soft foods and even them he puked all the tone
  3. Please give me an idea, I have been reading posts all day and seen huge numbers.. much higher than I would expect. . So how much do y'all lose monthly?
  4. What I am reading is simple, overeating is an addiction. The surgery is only the beginning. The depression comes on after surgery and before weight loss or at least before we are satisfied with our accomplishment.. eating now will be so much more enjoyable. This is my second attack at this, my first was lap band. I watched my husband do gastric and become beautiful in 8 months so I went on to this second surgery.
  5. I came home yesterday too. My surgery was 1/9 as well. My left side is very bad and I keep getting out of bed and then back to bed. My liquid pain meds don't help much. I am excited to see someone with my same date! Lucky you, you get a protein drink! I'm on clear liquids til the 20th. Then full liquid for another 2 wks. How is your pain?
  6. Outstanding story! I needed that!
  7. I'm scared to try to swallow a cap or pill yet. My doc is very strict, much more than most I read on here. I am on clear liquids for 2 weeks, then full liquid for 2 wks. No pills at all.
  8. Spades is what I meant to say
  9. I have an addiction I would like to share. I play spaces on pogo.com. it's a game were you actually play with 3 other real people on a forum and you get scores and colors for how good you are. That and a cup of coffee can be very enjoyable for the bored folks out there. Being 4 days post op I don't feel good enough yet to get back at it but y'all might love it!
  10. I am so bored laying around. I'm sore and meds make me nauseous so I'm trying to just use Tylenol liquid. I am sipping water and have had a bad headache. . I'm excited about the day my left side don't hurt tho. How are you feeling
  11. Im doing that now.. liquid meds make me feel bad.. i hope water helps
  12. I know its early january, but i need yall!! Mine was 1/9 came home yesterday..feel sore and yuk
  13. I am 45 and started having trouble with weight after having my kids. I finally bit the bullet and at 220 5'1" had lap band on sept 2012, by sept 2013 i was at 175 but struggling not to start gaining weight back. I was tired of working out and still being what i considered fat. So in Dec i had my band removed and yesterday i had gastric. In the months i had got back to 190 and i knew i wasnt going to be successful with the band.. so i had to try again. I fell sellfish sometimes on what im putting myself through just to be thin, then i remind myself it was for my health as well. Today i fell sore and yuk but i know it will pass. I keep reminding myself how much better life will be.. hope to hear some of yalls stories, it helps me right now
