  1. Please take some advice on this. My husband is a yr post, he is in an acceptable size and weight and thinks because he lost weight his sleep apnea is cured. It is not, its better but the fact a person has extra skin inside they throat is still there. He won't use his machine and I'm sleeping in the guest room because of the snoring and gagging he does, so please get your new sleep study done before you discontinue using it
  2. So happy for you! Yes you will be able to drink soon and what a wonderful peppy outlook you have! Welcome to the losers bench!
  3. I seen my doc yesterday and ask him about acid and heartburn since I see so many on the forum talk about nexium use. He told me and showed me pictures that show our acid producing cells are at the bottom of our old tummies.. so what we think is acid feeling is mostly our new pouch healing. He said if we need something chew up a rolaid
  4. When is your surgery. . Congrads on you weight loss so far
  5. I don't but I do have a BMI of 35 but having diabetes type 2 qualified me. I have lost 10 lbs in 11 days since my Jan 9 bypass

  7. Oh forgot to tell you. I read a yr ago that when a person loses weight, their liver releases stored estrogen, that might be why
  8. I had my hysterectomy 4 yrs ago and was never cold til my bypass on the 9th,. I love being able to snuggle under my blanket! BTW awesome weight loss.. I'm down 10lbs in 11 days
  9. Being only 11 days post op I don't have any but looking forward to seeing everyone else's

  11. Remember your pouch will not always be like this. My hubby is a yr out and enjoying a darn bacon lettuce tomatoes sandwich as we speak... I wanna kill him lol! ! Just enjoy this period of time of weight loss, we won't always be this way

  15. Gadkins, good for you. Stay hydrated!
  16. I had itching on my lap band removal a month ago. They changed my pain meds from what it was to morphine on my bypass and no itching. Get the name of what they used, your allergic to it. I'm glad your home and healing. Don't force yourself to eat but do drink. I keep a bottle of Water on my bed at night and sip. Today is my first post op appointment (11 days) and I'm pretty good. Stay rested, don't push, your insides need to heal.
  17. Doc said the quiver was from the surgery meds. Hope you feel better soon. I twitched on my lap band removal but not my bypass
  18. I did lap band first. Here's the deal, we would not all be big if we could follow a diet right? Lap band is only a tool, nothing more. Once you have decided its not for you, the reversal surgery is ugly, then the bypass is much more difficult. . Plz take my advice, lap band is not a good diet surgery. My doc even stopped doing them. Good luck!
  19. Ty for posting this and reminding me. I have bounced back so well on all my other 6 surgeries and not this one. 10 days post op and I'm still getting nauseous, weak, can't sleep, used an electric cart around Wal-Mart because I am scared to push myself and have no where to sit. 2 of my incisions are scaring me making me think they will need packing. I'm bumped out. I am fine mentally if the physical would heal faster. I needed to hear your post. Ty
  20. Phase 4 and only 5 weeks out? I'm week 2 stage 1 and my stage 2 lasts a month.. my doc is strict
