Trouble with cravings
loving.life replied to msky1981's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Y'all, these feeling, cravings, dreaming is all normal.. we had an addiction! It will take a long time to heal, if ever.. but your surgery will keep you in line. Its ok to want these things, but as time goes by most of us say" oh forget it" after trying to eat them OR seeing such good results or both! I'm one of those that dumped early on and said never again! I smell stuff, even have others describe what they ate.. all this has helped me fight the addiction. . You can and will do it too! -
first notices.. what is yours?

Just the beginning wallflower! Congrads -
Today I went shopping, I couldn't believe how much better clothes fit! I was able to wear a size 10 (stretch) jeans. My other huge notice is I'm able to sit on the floor without pain! When I clip my dogs hair it was so hard, now I can't complain! !!

Your 3" incision is where the large stapler went in. We all have at least 1 larger one. Careful of eggs too early.. anything that might make you puke early out of post op can bust a staple and end up back in surgery. Good luck, hope u feel well

Band to Bypass discussion
loving.life replied to Meintraining's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am always cold, used to always be hot. I keep my heater on 75 and still have a house coat on! We are tired because our body is having to take our stored fat to make energy to survive, I'm 3 months out and still tired.. usually asleep by 8pm. -
Why do people say Revision patients lose slower
loving.life replied to PrincessErin's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I'm losing slower because I had already lost 30+ with the first surgery. -
Band to Bypass discussion
loving.life replied to Meintraining's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am like y'all. But let's remember the 2 surgeries we all had are very different. Have either one of you dumped? If I eat more than 6 spoons of food or have more than 2 bites of something sweet I dump bad.. I'm down 32#s since Jan 9th and am feeling good but miss that restriction as well. I hated lapband tho, my port hurt every night. I'm glad of the decision I made! -

Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!
loving.life replied to Eroper6's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I have lost 32# but been on a stall for 2 weeks. Been put back on full liquids and still stalled.. 3 scopes this month, 2 strictures and 1 "ops I wasn't supposed to have corn in my soup" I have 40 more lbs to go and wonder if I will lose them. My blood sugar stays to low and it keeps me in the stage where my body won't burn stored fat.. depressing -
I have had 2 one week apart and now a week later feeling it again. Thinking I might end up having surgery for it.. anyone else?

I buy unjury off eBay. I love it hands down over other drinks -
I would make sure you drink liquid before you eat.. 8oz or so. This might help. I would also make sure your eating protein rich foods, like a pouched egg for breakfast and a protein drink. Stay away from carbs, they will make you hungry, even the raw veggies can

trick my doc gave me to help stuck episodes
loving.life posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I seem to be one of those that even has trouble with oatmeal.. being 10 wks out I still can't have much. My doc told me about a man that had something stuck in the middle of the night and was trying to decide if he wanted to head to the hospital for a scope, as a last resort doc told he to open a coke and have a generous gulp, he would either puke it up good or it would move it, it had worked. I had an issue tonight (as always) and after the dreaded slime for a few hours the pain began. I decided enough was enough.! After getting up my courage I opened a bottle of pop! After a generous gulp and a few burps I was clear, sore for an hr but didn't puke! Just wanted to share this. If y'all have any other tricks please share. -

Dumping Question - Caution, kind of gross
loving.life replied to Baconville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You don't have to puke, you don't have to even get nauseous. . It can happen 10 hours later on fat dumping, sugar dumping is different and causes sugar levels to jump up and down and get cold sweats. Fat dumping can happen just like you had it. Dumping is when you put too much fat or sugar in your intestines, , your small intestines can't break it down and when they get too much they have to purge. -
If it's a burning pain in the center it can be an ulcer. Tell your doc
