    MAJOR regrets

Morgan, the way you feel is perfectly normal.. both emotional and physical darlin! I'm 3 months out and just now thankful I did it.. and honey I did it twice! First lapband then 1 yr later removed it, then 1 month later gastric! So I have had 3 surgeries! You will feel better. You will look back at these first days and say thank goodness they passed..
  7. If it is black call your doc. A couple times having black (old blood) is normal but if you continue to have it you could be passing fresh blood and not realize it. A simple blood test will tell your doc if your bleeding.

two and a half months out

Hi there! Welcome! Since you know you ate too fast might I suggest always sitting undisturbed at a table and giving your meal your full attention. My husband (1 1/2 yrs out) has your same problem.. he just spent 2 days puking for it! He will sit in front of the tv and without paying attention eats too fast and too much! Good luck and say with us, lots of help and info

    Small problem

Normal.. but, get your water and protein up if nothing else.. even then dizziness might still plague you. It does me and I'm 3 months out.
  10. Your doctor is so lenient with your diet. I know all docs diets are different but wow.. I'm 3 months post op and still on full liquids with cheese, Beans, eggs, crackers and oatmeal added.. nothing more.. have never puked and only dumped once. (My own fault) No doubt your diet is what is making you nauseous. Not everyone can advance without problems. A lot of people have to back up. My suggestion is if you are super sensitive (like me) you back your diet back to full cream liquids and crackers and advance much more slowly. I thought my doc was crazy going so slow but I have seen why he is so careful. Our pouch is new.. would we give a 6 week baby puree foods? It would make them sick. I hope this helps

    Vitamins etc

April, I wasn't being rude. Our doctors don't always tell us details, that's why I live this site! My iron is in my vitamins so it would be hard to separate that but I could take them in the morning and calcium in the evenings

    Vitamins etc

April, where did you read to take your vitamins and calcium 3 hrs apart? I never heard that

    Vitamins etc

You need calcium citrate chewable 1200 mg, a b12 shot, and 2 Flintstone vitamins.. nothing more

    It's not working!

You are healing. A large amount of weight fluctuations in the beginning is water. Once the fat starts falling off the body will fight to hold it.. a stall this early (to me) isn't really a stall. Let your body heal, be patient, heal. Don't worry, it did work!

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

Path2me, my goal is about 125-130. I get frustrated too at times but it still drops.. since I jog and have leg muscles I'm small for the weight.. I do miss salads and other healthy foods but in time we will meet again!!

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

My surgery was Jan 9. I'm doing good. I'm slow loser but doc said normal. 2# a week. I weight in at 154 today. Was 190 at surgery. I jog 3 miles a morning and am happy so far. I eat the same stuff mostly.. get tired of it but my nut is very strict and still has me on liquids, oatmeal, cheese, and eggs.. no mushies yet. I see him in 2 weeks and get my next diet plan. I have much more energy, don't nap in the day and having trouble sleeping at night.

How many ring sizez did you loose?

My rings were tight as a 7.5 and now too big
  20. Since surgery my body just can't hold my liquids! I bet I get up 10 times a night!

    So upset right now

What we eat can cause both gas and diarrhea. If you eat carbs or fat it will definitely do it. We all pretty much had diarrhea after surgery without carbs and can continue it with carbs. Our new intestinal track and pouch can not process sugars and fats so they will dump them, causing gas and diarrhea. I would suggest you try eggs, oatmeal, etc for a week and see if it helps

    Miss my........

My doc even has us use it for stuck episode
  23. April, the liquid pain meds they give you after surgery actually have headaches as a side effect.. still go away after your off

    Sugar!

Can't you have 1 piece of dark choc a day? The people I know that had bypass usually allow themselves that.
