I am a nurse too. Director of care in a long term care centre. got my band in August. had my third fill yesterday and feeling somewhat too restricted. I will go for a half cc defill if i cant eat tomorrow. Presently I have 6cc in a 10cc band. anyhow nice joining this tread.

early in the game but no regrets. hard work to relearn the chewing and slow eating process but I am getting there. loosing weight so far and very happy.

I had my surgery on Aug.16.07. I have had two fills and doing good so far. I am satisfied at the moment, best decision of my life.

I have also had one fill so far and due for my next fill on tuesday. I had good restriction at first but I can eat more now. I still get food stuck if I eat too fast though. hope the next one will be good and last.

I am beginning to exeprience the PB thing too. things get stuck as I often go back to old habits of chowing stuff down. I am beginning to learn as I am new to this. well its nice to know I cant just pig out anymore with a nasty burp. It has happened to me during staff meetings. I know its going to get worse when i get more fills. only one fill so far. FUN!

absolutely no shoes in my house. shoes worn from outside have dirt plain and simple. put them off or stay out! case close.

i finally know the meaning too. I knew it was about vomiting but did not know the the full term

Glad for you. i had gained 1 lb. at least we are ready to loose much better now that we are geting our fills. Yes God will see us through. we will make it. lets keep working hard. take care. will keep in touch.

I wont mind joining the team. what times do you guys go for the walk, where doyou meet and what days? i just got my first fill today. what an experience. i think I am ready to go on with this weight loss thing. Rose, how did your fill go? After 3 pokes to find my port I had to get 1cc taken out as i could not swallow tiny sips of Water with 5cc. thought i could ignore the feeling and stay tight but not possible. I felt this horrible heart burn with a feeling of something down my throat. then started to spit out slimmy water. not nice. well I am fine now with the 4cc so I hope that will hold me for a while. will start experimenting with the food thing tomorrow.

Hi all, I got my first fill today at the TLBC. I got 3 pokes at first to locate the port. 5cc put in. then I could not drink the water. very tiny sips but wont go down. I tried hard not to get a defill but I had no choice so 1 cc was taken out. it felt so weired. I wanted to be tight as could be but now I know its not the best feeling. you feel like you have heart burn with something in the throat that wont go away, then the water starts to come out with slime. well I am fine now and holding down water with small sips. I hope I am on my way to a good restriction. very glad. Now I know this will work.sooooo glad for now. will start experimenting with food tomorrow. will keep all posted.

Hi Rose, so sorry to hear about your mom. our moms are always dear to us and will be sad to loose. take one day at a time. I did my surgery on the 16th of Aug. and lost 16lbs within two weeks. I have been on a binge trip since and have gained back 8,probably more as I have not weighed myself for a while. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning before I leave for the clinic. yes their scale reads less than mine too. let us pray our fill works tomorrow. I agree this band is not cheap and so we need to see results and see it fast.I am actually getting embarrased knowing that my friends who know about my surgery are watching closely. IT BETTER WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rose, I am in Ancaster Ontario. hope to meet you there. you never know. not sure how long the seminar will last. will be nice to meet you. we do need to support each other. it seems we have a long way to go. i just want to feel this restriction thing we have been promised.

Hi Rose, nice to hear from you. My appt. is at 930 am so I guess we probably wont meet. I am having the same problem. I lost 16 initially and have gained back 8 and cant stop eating.I cant wait for the fill. its just seems too long to wait. well hope the first fill will do it so we can be on track. lets keep in touch.

I will be going for my first fill at the TLBC on the 1st of October. I am looking forward to this as I am presently able to eat just about every thing and its driving me nuts. I really can't wait till its done. anyone for a fill at the TLBC that same day? hope to hear from you.

this all sounds great. I cant wait for my first fill on Oct. 1st as I have been eating just too much I have actually gained back some of the 16 lbs I initially lost. i just cany wait to feel restricted. will be a great feeling again. just cant wait!

I am in the same boat. got my band on the 16th of August. lost 16lbs and have gained back 8lbs. I can eat large portions and anything. my first fill is on the 1st of Oct. cant wait to eat small portions again. it actually felt good then. hope this works sooner.:heh:

Hi Bandsters, Thanks, for all the support. glad for all and also the new comers. I am doing well so far. just suffering still from gas pains but managing. sticking to the postop plan so far. challenging at times but hunging in there. so far I have lost 10lbs since banding. went back to work 4 days post op. glad i got this band. loving it already. should have done this years ago. well glad to here with such a wonderful group. hope we all heal well from the surgery. I am with you on that Syba, too expencive to mess up. we have got to prove we are strong and we can do it.we have the band to help us now. I just got banded on Aug. 16th, Dr. Yau, glad to be here.
