    Help!

You should contact your medical insurance company to see if they even cover cover the procedure and which one they might cover. Most companies don't cover it at all. I called right away to make make sure (cigna) and then I went online to pull up bariatric policy requirements and saw the break down of how they would cover the surgery. I had to have a bmi over 40 - or a bmi of 35 with sleep apnea or high BP or blah blah. Since I didn't have anything else, I went in with a bmi over 40. Good luck!! But call first! They will get you exactly how you can qualify. I was 243 date of surgery and I'm 5'5

    Fruits...

Oh ok thanks. I'm going to try try the prunes. I I need some different types to work with. My nut told told me told me to try pureeing the fruit like raspberries or other berries and add them to my farina or oatmeal which does sound good now.
  4. So yeah this might sound strange but I need clearance on it because it's a little strange and since I'm starting back at work on Monday I need to figure out how to make it stop or how to help it. After I eat a meal or a shake I get this noise that starts to come up my throat kind of like like a burp but just like air or something. It sounds like after you wash dishes and the Water goes down the drain. Why am I hearing this ?
  5. Oh ok so when I go back to work it should be easier since I will be busier to drink as much as fast. I have to find a way to get this drinking down too.
  6. Thanks so it's just gonna be a new addition to me huh lol I don't even know if it's an inside noise that no one else can hear.

    GOAL met!

You look amazing and I am so happy for you!! W I UK you be able to send a break down of your monthly weigh ins or however you kept track? I'm also 5'5 and I started at 243 and I want to see how your progress went. Thanks Thanks and again great job!!!!
  11. That is amazing !! Congrats on your success !! I hope to be as successful as you!!
  12. So I had my staples out yesterday and I was so scared it would hurt. The last thing I wanted was that pain like I experienced in the hospital when they pulled out the drain tube omg ! But my doc was talking to me and popping them out at the same time so anyone looking to see if the staple removal has any pain involved --NO!! I am so grateful it was simple and easy. I have geese little white sticker bandages over them he said to leave on until they come off. All in all--these 9 days have been ok and since since the staple removal I feel a lot better, it helped that I used bacitracin on my incision areas so they wouldn't get dried out. I hope this helps at least one person that was scared of the staple removal process. Good luck to all and congrats on all the success !

    sleeved 2/24/14

It does get easier. I am 9 days out and I had a tough time in the hospital. I was constantly throwing up and nauseas. I walked around with a cup to spit up or throw up. I couldn't pass the upper GI series until day 3 and that was when the nausea started to slow down. When I was introduced to clear liquid, the nausea was gone. Just remember to sip sip sip and put it down in between sips. I'm a high fan of some black tea with a high splenda in the morning and farina is good with one splenda. The Jello isn't a fave anymore but fat free chocolate pudding is a nice snack to feel normal. The hardest part for me is getting the Protein drink down. I'm 14 lbs down in these 9 days and that's what keeps me focused !!
