Had my surgery 9 yrs ago and my lowest weight was 135 lbs and now still bounce between 145-158, but am trying to get back to my goal weight which I maintained for 4 yrs. Stoll follow the rules I was taught by my Dr, no carbonation, drink lots of water, get lots of protein, I know grazing has been my downfall and I work on that now. Still do around 2 miles of walking. My surgeon/Dr has since died of brain cancer so I rely on some of my tests being done by my rheumatologist. Still take my calcium and multi vitamins. I look at some others that got the surgery when I did and many of them gained a lot of their weight back, so I really feel like a success story. When I was approved for this surgery I told myself, this is my last chance, I'm not blowing it.
