Lynn my heart goes out to u! I couldn't imagine losing my bestie but God carries us through difficult situations that we r unable to walk through on our own. I will be lifting u up in prayer that u r comforted during this time of such a great loss. Sending a huge bear huge ur way chica!

There r so many good ones to choose from. Per my surgeon instructions I select those that are high Protein being sure the carb and sugar content isn't is relatively low. My absolute favorite is Chike. The taste is so amazing and I didn't believe their advertisement that it taste great only shaken with Water but it really did. The have a great return policy so if u but and don't like it they will gladly return it. Check out their website they have great stuff. www.ilikechike.com My faves list: Chike ( it don't get no better) order on line Premier Protein (chocolate is good) Cosco & SAMS Club unjury (love the chicken Soup flavor) order on line Isopure is a great product I just wasn't fond of the taste at all and if I'm going to be on a liquid diet pre and post op I want to at least like what I'm having to consume.

It was Surgeons at Starbucks day!!! Why didn't anyone tell us?!? LOL!! I know right. I swear I NEVER Imagined matter of fact the thought never crossed my mind that I would see her there. Lmbo

This is hilarious and makes me feel better about our experience this morning that we were not alone hahaha. We dropped of our puppy Peanut this morning to be groomed and since the groomer is clear across town we decided to go hang out at Starbucks surf the net and talk junk to pass the time away. I'm surfing the net running my mouth and my daughter that's also having VSG on March 24th as well says "hey mom look there's Dr S" I was thinking to myself yeah right but turned to look anyway and OMG I just wanted to crawl under the table and hide. Instantly I thought move the VENTI chai tea latte with soy milk behind my MacBook but at that moment my daughter is yelling Dr S our surgeon turns around and says heyyyyyyy ladies how r u when am I seeing u guys again. Utterly embarrassed I said this is the month. We all laughed in disbelief that our surgeon ended up at Starbucks with us while we r seated with a venti and a grandi (for my daughter) chai tea latte with soy milk. She said nothing out the way didn't even shoot us a dirty look but that could have been because it was clear we were happy to see her but embarrassed.

NO JUDGEMENT ZONE!
CurvyCakes replied to Ready2Live76's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
"Never trade what u want most for what u want at the moment" Happy Birthday to you! I view being sleeved like getting married and right now we're all engaged. We are all making plans, doing tons of research, making purchases in preparation for our big day! Weddings and marriages are beautiful and people enjoy attending but most times the guest or attendees doesn't realize the bonafide hard work, sweat, tears, and sacrifices you've made to make this dream wedding come true they only see the finished product. Having weight loss surgery is the exact same. Think about it we spend hours upon hours on line, reading books, talking to people we know and those we don't in an attempt to learn all we can to yield the greatest success throughout all phases of this WLS journey, we're making purchases to ensure we have everything we need, and most of all we are getting our minds right as there's no magic at the alter nor is it in the operating room. With all that said our sleeves will be our tool and just like a marriage you tend to get out of what you put in it. That's not to say the journey will always be easy as there will be struggles and bumps along the way but take your time and enjoy the journey. March 3rd and on ward in good times and stalls embrace your sleeve because if you hang in there long enough you will reap the rewards of all your hard work. You got this finish strong. I think many times we don't realize our lives aren't over we're being granted a new start you will be able to Celebrate future birthdays and enjoy the things you love on your special day just a lot less of it. Whatever you decide to do there's no judgement ever here as we are all striving for the same goal. HANG IN THERE YOU GOT THISSSSSS!!! Lol -

my 600 lb life on TLC
CurvyCakes replied to ReaRaes's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love that show and I did see that episode. It made me so angry that he basically had zero concern about her health or success after surgery based on his desires. When he stopped at that drive thru on the drive home after she was discharged from the hospital I was in total shock. Then as he's driving eating one burger he then turns and ask her to hold the other one....omg I almost jumped through the television screen! I was like what theeeeee blank blank blank is wrong with this butthole of a husband of hers!!! She was determined to get healthier and lose the weight. Her WLS journey should have been supported by her husband but even though he acted out and was plain disrespectful she still pressed on to reach HER goal with or without his support. Idk how she held her composer u would have said uve earned urself a one way ticket to the butthole farm pack ur crap ur leaving tonight RIGHT NOW!! What a jerk! -

Katt darling I'm so sorry to hear ur having such a ruff time. I was placed on anxiety meds about 7 months ago and I promise u I felt at times when I would share a concern with my PCP I felt she didn't kick into action as she did prior to treatment for anxiety. Being the straight forward shooter from the hip I am I called her to the carpet on this as I know it can go from 0-60 in a flash but I'm far from a hypochondriac. She apologized and got her act together but I've been her patient for 12 years. With all that said honey maybe u can call and schedule an appointment to be seen by ur surgeon and go over ur concerns face to and let him or her know ur concerned with how an anxiety med was prescribed but the dry heaving for 45 minutes and ur stomach pain wasn't adequately addressed and that these r real concerns! I would ice the cake some with I choose u because I felt u were a great surgeon I could trust to do my surgery and provide quality care post operatively. I speak to ALLLLL my doctors quite frankly, at times sternly ( as I'm my biggest advocate here) yet respectfully.

CurvyCakes replied to lovinglife28's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations to u! I haven't had my surgery yet but Many Sleevers say after surgery they really didn't have the usual hunger pains as they did prior to surgery for quite some time. Me personally I wonder about head hunger. Keep us posted on how ur doing. Skinny vibes to! -
When my pre admission appointment come I'm probably going to have insomnia from the excitement of how close I am to becoming a sleever.
