  4. Hi everyone...I've been coming here since making the decision to be banded. My paperwork goes to the insurance company this coming week, so I should hopefully hear back in the next 30 days. Can't believe it's this close!!! My doc feels pretty confident that I will be approved and the great thing is my insurance co. pays 100% of the surgery. Wooweee! Anyone in Colorado getting banded by Dr. Michael Johnell in Greeley??? So far I've been super impressed with the staff, the doc, and the program and can't wait to start my "dare to be thin" campaign!
  5. Congrats! My paperwork goes to the insurance company this coming week. Just have to get the last five years of med history over to send to the insurance company, just in case. So...approved??? When will you have your surgery? I'm hoping that everything will happen for me in October - keep your fingers crossed for me! Erenne
  6. I'm in the "waiting to hear from the insurance company" phase. I feel like the pressure of not knowing, and the possibility of my actually being banded has propelled me towards the Farewell to food Tour. I find myself worrying about what I'll NOT be able to eat once I'm banded. I see myself eating those things now because I "won't" be able to eat them later, which isn't helping me lose the 13 pounds required in order to have my surgery. Today I cleaned out the fridge and the pantry and got rid of everything that I shouldn't be eating. I want to have those 13 pounds off before the insurance company comes back with an approval so I can have my surgery sooner then later. I'm thankful I found this site as I know it's going to be extremely helpful during my dare to be thin campaign. To all of you, a many thanks for the support and information you share with us everyday. Erenne
  7. That was my exact thought! Notice you have been at goal for 13 mths, congrats! I haven't been banded yet, 1st consult is next Wed. Have you kept off the weight thru just food, or are you exercising regularly? Be Well, Erenne - CO
  8. Pam in MI, Don't let your weight keep you from yoga -it's so good for your body and mind. It's going to be uncomfortable at first, but after a month of regular yoga, you will be amazed at how good your body feels. Plus, its time spent on just you, and that is super important with all the change you will experience physically and mentally with this surgery. You can use the time spent in yoga to mentally and physically prepare yoursef. The yoga class I am in has a good mix of bodyshapes...maybe you can be an inspiration to someone else who feels like they don't belong in yoga because of their size, or didn't think it was physically possible. Good Luck! I have my first consultation with Dr. Johnell in Colorado next Wed. I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself. Erenne in CO Be Well
