missblonde20 got a reaction from sleeved2be in Is anyone else actually LIKING pre op diet?!
Uhh, woah, OK....am I being sensitive or am I detecting some bitchiness?
First of all, can I say that I AM doing a pre-op diet. I am following the plan, drinking 2 shakes and eating one balanced meal at night time (generally chicken and veggies) and IF I have a snack when I feel lethargic/very hungry, I opt for a Protein snack that is of the same brand as my shakes. So thank you for telling me it is not a pre-op diet. Again, as I had a lapband in 2007, I HAVE done this exact diet before.
Secondly, I have lost 8.8 pounds. I was told I only had to lose 4.
Absolutely no point being negative nancies to me when I am feeling positive, being successful in my weight loss, and actually feeling GOOD. Why the need to try and cut somebody down?
Hello and smiles to all of the lovely, nice, fun and inviting people on the forum.... :-)

So weird to say this but I am actually enjoying the pre op diet. I feel great! It's a cleansing sort of experience. I had horrible detox headaches and fatigue for 3 days but now I am going so well. It has been 6 days and I am down 8.8 pounds!! Stoked
I am even eating a meal at dinner and having random Protein Snacks - even though I am not probably not supposed to (The Dr's booklet pushes veggies for dinner, but I add 100g of protein). However, I am feeling great, losing weight and just enjoying this phase where I am literally cleansing my body of all the crap I have been eating lately. I had a lapband at one stage but it's been out for 4 years. I could not keep the weight off, despite doing gym training and eating very well, and then I fell pregnant and my weight has just spiralled since having the baby.
Anyway, long story short, I ENJOY eating well and exercising, so I hope the sleeve can really push my body back into the weight loss phase and I really hope to be fit and healthy again soon.

Hello, I have been doing good. FINALLY, feeling almost normal. Gases are finally relieving fast. Some pain. But I did go to work today and I did 1/2 day and that was enough.

I am at the end of day 3 and work full time and have little kids - it's been tough, but I have lost 4.4 pounds. Today the kids were driving me up the wall lol so I had a banana and egg....I do not feel guilty at all though. I am doing shakes and having Protein for dinner and still cleansing, detoxing and losing weight. Don't even think I am meant to be eating protein but seriously, I cannot do 3 shakes a day and that's it. I just can't....

missblonde20 got a reaction from jaxmom in Surgeon said revision's 50/50 failure!?
Thanks guys! He couldn't explain to me why people apparently cannot lose anything with the sleeve - he said it's a mystery basically. He says at conferences that he attends, other surgeons have the same experience with the 50/50 failure.
I just cannot imagine having so much of my stomach removed and failing to lose weight? I eat a high Protein diet and love clean eating, plus I enjoy exercise! I would never just sit here and gorge on bad food with a sleeve!!

    Hi
I haven't had the sleeve yet... i will be having it in 8 days time.
My story is identical to yours and i have exactly the same concerns.
I had my band removed 12 months ago... and have basically lived on salad and meat since then and have gained most of my weight back.
I think there might be some metabolic damage... but i am on pre op diet right now and i am down 5 pounds in 3 days!
I have no answers for you... but i do understand how you feel

missblonde20 got a reaction from 4MRB4PHOTO in Band to sleeve?
    Hi all
It has been 4 years since my band was taken out and I've regained A LOT of weight, plus I've been pregnant and had a baby - so just really keen on the sleeve.
Dr Wong has said 50% of band to sleevers do not lose any weight at all.
    Any thoughts?
