  1. I am 8 days post-op and am feeling pretty good! That is until today... I woke up mad! And I don't mean just a little mad, I mean uncontrollable mad. The biggest thing is I don't even know why. I feel like I'm just going to blow up at anyone that talks to me. Anyone else have this happen to them.
  2. Starting weight is 212 Goal weight is 195
  3. Hi! I was sleeved 12/26 and feeling pretty good.
  4. I'm excited to try one! Have no idea what a goal should be since I am only 6 days out. Any suggestions based on past challenges?
  5. My doctor is really strict too... And ground beef is not on the list until 90 days out. Pretty much the last thing! Maybe wait a few weeks and try again. Did you get the lowest fat content 95/5? That makes it dry so maybe adding a little no fat vegetable broth will help. Good luck and let us know if you figure something out!
  6. This is going to be something we probably do different based on the restaurant. If there is a salad bar, we can share a plate of regular entree and he can have the salad bar. Or maybe I will just order the salad bar. Soup -cottage cheese-small salad-- done. I'm also lucky cuz my husband will eat leftovers for lunch the next day! I cannot eat leftovers-- it's a mental thing. Ok truth here, I can eat leftover spaghetti but that will be probably only 2x a year that I eat my moms spaghetti she lives 1,000 miles away thank goodness! And it will be much smaller portions!
  7. What about coughing? It hurts so bad-- I try to hold my stomach in with a pillow, but I am most afraid of ripping or tearing.
  8. Wow ... Each doctor has such different rules. I am 5 days out and spoke to the nutritionist for help on protein. I felt like the shake was going to make me sick so I couldn't drink it. I want to add yogurt but she said "no" it was too early. Even blended to lighten it was not an option. She told me to just keep adding fluid and drink milk throughout the day for protein. She said it won't hurt for the next week and a half to be short on the yogurt. Any body else's doctor not allow yogurt, jello, or pudding at this stage?
  9. I think left shoulder pain can be from a hiatal hernia fix. Did you have that? I would definitely call your surgeons office to let them know of the new pain you are having. Hoping it's better soon!
  10. I was also sleeved the 26th. I worry that I am being a baby because I am still in recliner and it hurts to move my abdomen at all. I can't sleep but short periods at a time. Pain the worse when taking deep breathes! But everyone is different... So I won't be super woman and go back to work after 2 weeks or start housecleaning or packing up from Christmas until February! Good luck to you... I do feel a little better each day!
