1/13/14 take 3!
I've had diarrhea since I've had my surgery. I'm going to ask my doctor about it when I see him in February. My surgery was December 2nd

Tried soft foods... Totally bummed
Just tried ground beef for the first time. I thought I'd be fine considering that I had no issues with liquids or puréed foods. I was so wrong! Not only am I somehow up two pounds, but I got sick for the first time! I'm so upset. I was so careful to eat slowly and not eat too much, and still... Sick! Just having a "when does this get easier?!" moment. Merry Christmas everyone!

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
You shouldn't submit until you've completed it, or they will most likely deny

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
Congratulations! My paperwork was submitted on September 25th and I'm still waiting. Was told today it would take 3 weeks to get my sleep test results, but I'm still pushing through. There has GOT to be a light at the end of this tunnel! Enjoy starting the next chapter! So excited for you!

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
I'm still waiting. It's been almost a month now. I'm also still on the waiting list for my sleep test they denied. Waiting for an at home machine. Sure hope this ends positively soon, so I can move forward with my life

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
So, Aetna gave the impression I was going to get approved if I had my sleep study done, HOWEVER, since they denied the test, the waiting game goes on. Here's hoping I get some positive news in the next few days.

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
They denied my sleep study so I'm on a waiting period to see if I can get the at home sleep test. They should call me this week, or I'll call them

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
That's what I'm hoping for. I've struggled with my weight from as early as age 6. I remember being "different" as early as kindergarten. Both sides of my family have a history of obesity, and health related issues due to obesity. I haven't had a chance to get married and become a Mom yet. I want to be healthy, so I can live long enough to raise my children. I don't want to die. This surgery will allow me to start a whole new chapter of my life as a healthy person with energy. I'm really hoping my insurance will give me that chance

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
My employer plan does cover the surgery, I'm just worried about the long list of requirements that Aetna has. I haven't been at 40+ for two years and I don't know if I have sleep apnea

Impatiently waiting for Aetna
Does anyone out there have Aetna? I have a BMI of 39.4, but still waiting to see if I have sleep apnea. I've completed all other requirements for surgery. Does anyone else have Aetna? Were you able to get approved? So frustrated and ready to go! Treatment shouldn't be dictated by my insurance, it should be dictated by a doctor! Grrrr!
