Does anyone out there have Aetna? I have a BMI of 39.4, but still waiting to see if I have sleep apnea. I've completed all other requirements for surgery. Does anyone else have Aetna? Were you able to get approved? So frustrated and ready to go! Treatment shouldn't be dictated by my insurance, it should be dictated by a doctor! Grrrr!

I have Aetna my paperwork was submitted 8/16 I was denied 8/29 I was under 40 the past 2 yrs but over 35 no comorbids... Even though I'm at 40 now with hypertension and on meds they denied me... I am appealing went and had a sleep study turns out I have sleep apnea they want me to have second sleep study with CPAP waiting on that to submit my appeal, I too like patty said wrote a letter speaking on my struggle along with a LMN from PCP. Hopefully when I submit all of that they will reconsider! Gonna pray,, they do.
