Hi all .. I will be on day 3 of full liquids I found this split pea Soup in the frozen section that has 14 grams of Protein I'm going to purée some more since it has small pieces of carrots. That way I can sit at the table join everyone. But I have to say it is very hard to get 64 oz of liquids and protein.... I just started full liquids today... Anyone else having problems getting all the liquids in?

Thank you I just got home from the hospital and everything went well.. Not much pain .. Did get the trapped gas everyone talks about but walked some and it went away. Came home without the drain so thar was great! Oh and nausea a few times .

Wish me luck guys! On my way to the hospital!! Will be sleeved by this evening! This was the longest six months but worth the hard work!! For all of you who have had insurance setbacks hang in there and keep at it!

Oh no this was the first time submitting though? This want a denial to an appeal? If so yes that's what they r looking for 2 yrs of being over 40 or under 40 with 2 comorbids ... When I got denied in my letter to them for my appeal I let them know I was under 40 only because of diet pills and hcg... Don't give up!!!!

Good thread to start! Had I known about having a sleep study my approval would have gone right through the first time but I didn't think to go have one turns out I had sleep apnea and I did not snore! So don't think you don't have it just because u don't snore. Eventually it all worked out because I got approved just moved out my date a month... So if your submitting your paperwork and don't have any comorbids get a sleep study done you will be surprised I didn't think I had sleep apnea.

11 days til I start mine ... I'm so glad my surgeon doesn't make you do a liquid diet he just puts you on a vegetarian low fat diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery...I'm still gonna cut way back with solids

Just got my date yesterday I'm Nov 22 in the Dallas TX area... Can't come soon enough!!!!!

I had a different BMI on all my papers when I submitted my appeal I used my most recent BMI and got approved

Hopefully you will get your response by then! Wow my doctor would not set a date until the received the letter off approval from insurance I got it faxed to them that's how I ended up getting my date. I would keep calling and let them know you already have a set date apply some pressure!

OMG I AM APPROVED!!!!!!

So I contacted the person conducting my appeal tomorrow at 10:30 and advised I do want to join in via conference call. I am so nervous I couldn't sleep at all last night!! I have been waiting so long I'm sick over this! I have Aetna at time of 1st submission I was at 40 BMI with one comorbid of HPT but the previous two yrs had been under 40 with no comorbids so I was denied. Since my denial I went and had sleep study and have sleep apnea so now am at 40 with 2 comorbids let's see what they say! Wish me luck guys!!!!

Yes I just speak to a rep in member services they are usually very nice and will look up your info to give you a status. Turns out what they told me was correct! I received a letter from Aetna today letting me know my appeal was received and it's going to be reviewed on 10/22 at 10:30 am once reviewed they will send me a letter within 5 business days with their decision, so its great to have a timeframe.

Ok so called again today and its being reviewed was the answer I was given... OMG ... I just want that green light!!

I call Aetna so much one of the reps gave me the nick name " paper stalker" ....smh that's horrible lol... So when I call I and get him I just say this is the paper stalker

I concur....LOL ... I submitted my appeal on 10/7 .. I called Aetna on Friday and they confirmed all paper work was received... I try not to think about it but its impossible!!! has anyone appealed? How long did it take for an answer?

We'll if my appeal gets denied I will be headed to dr Alvarez .. I'm in TX so if I'm in if anyone wants to go to mx.. I would feel so much more comfortable going with someone
