  1. I just want to tell you this gives me hope! I am the same age, height, and weight as you are. I am scheduled for my surgery on Monday. I have been having serious second thoughts because of stress regarding surgery, school, work, and family. Don't worry my family is very supportive am the family stress comes from worry about my kids. But seeing your results makes it clear why I need to do this. I am totally ecstatic to think I will be your size in three months! I want to thank you for sharing your success.
  2. I can totally relate. I am having doubts because of all of the above things. I have 4 young children and an awesome husband, I also have never had any type of surgery that they have completely put me out for which makes me nervous. But at the same time I need to be healthy so I can be around for my family. I have tried it on my own but seem to just give up.
  3. March 10th here too! I am getting really nervous and second questioning my decision. But I know I am doing the right thing. On day 9 of pre-op and all cravings are gone which is nice. Good luck everyone!!!!! see you on the other side!
  4. I have never tried it but have heard of it. I didn't buy it because of the name but if they changed it I think I am more willing to purchase it.
  5. yes, my hubby knows how much I weight. The only reason why is that he has come with me to every appointment regarding the surgery. He wants to come because this is new for him to and he wants to know what he needs to do to help me become more healthy.
  6. I am scheduled for march 10th! I have been working on getting in the habit of exercising. The Protein I have found that I really like is Premier Protein that you get at costco. It has 1g of sugar and 30g of protein.
  7. I also did a ton of research in regards to bypass and lap band. I had a problem with the bypass because they were bypassing the duodenal which is where most of your nutrients are absorbed. It didn't really make sense to have the lap band for me because I have had a friend where she kept having to go back and get it fixed because it either slipped or eroded. I don't have time to keep going back and forth with those kind of issues. With all the research I did the sleeve was the best option, even though there is little long time research the sleeve is showing really great results.
  8. Scheduled my surgery for March 10th. I know it is long but I did it this way so I wouldn't miss any school. And also to really mentally prepare myself since I have never had any sort of surgery before.
  9. Just had my appointment with the nutritionist. I have the go ahead to meet and set a date with my surgeon for surgery. I'm really excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait to start this journey to health.
  10. I have my final visit with my nutritionist on Jan 22nd and my pre-op appointment on the 29th. Hopefully we will be setting the date for surgery then since I have already received approval from my insurance company.
  11. There are many reasons why am getting this surgery done, but the final straw that broke the camels back was when I had a patient tell me that I should have cancer instead of her because I obviously don't care about my body. I admit that I started to believe her. I knew that she had just received bad news regarding her cancer and that she was just mad at everyone and everything. I had researched and thought about WLS but this was the final push for me to take the first steps.
