  1. Good news for you both! Agree that liquids are very important to prevent dehydration. Because of the swelling and a total change to my stomach it was hard to get my Water in. I'm almost 4 weeks post-op and Water is no longer an issue. After my band had been in place for a while I did push my limits. With this sleeve (and time) I'm determined to treat it as I should.

    I wish you well = )

  2. hopeful 2 bw slim,

I had my band put in in December 2009. The first year was great. Over the last two years it worked off and on. I was very fortunate not to have slippage or erosion, but on December 18, 2013 I had it removed and was sleeved. I haven't been disappointed. It feels so much more "natural" to not have the band inside. I believe it is much easier to live with. I had done research and talked with professionals. I will say that it is a big decision and somewhat overwhelming to think about. I hope that you will be able to make a decision that will work for you.

  3. Hello Everyone!

I posted two days ago that I'm a newbie here and trying to figure the site out. My surgery was Dec. 18th - just two weeks ago. (As an aside our first grandchild - grand daughter was born on Dec. 13th = ). My motivation is increased to be heathy for a long long time and to be able to chase after her. I found a website from a blogger who had surgery and has blogged about it. She also has lots of recipes to check out, plus more. Give it a try and see what you think.
