    Endoscopy findings...

You won't feel it. You'll be asleep.

    Endoscopy findings...

I'm not sore in my stomach. My throat burns a little though. I feel as if I have to keep clearing my throat. I've been drinking tea since I've been home. I'm still feeling the effects of the anesthesia too. I need to lay down for a long nap.

    Endoscopy findings...

I had my upper endoscopy today. I, too, have gastritis and a hiatal hernia. I'm not sure what all of this means considering that I'm quite a few months out from surgery. I'm happy to know now as opposed to finding closer to my surgery date. I was given a biopsy. I'll find those results out later in the week. I'm just glad that part of the wls process is over with.
  4. I'm still pre-op. My surgery will be with a Chrias doctor as well. Dr. Irgau will be performing my sleeve surgery.

    Favorite Protein Shakes/Supplements?

I love the GNC pre-madeTotal Lean shakes. I also like EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control Chocolate protein shakes.

    No WHEY Protein Powder

Where do you buy it?? The Vitamin Shoppe has it in stock in stores and online. I think you can buy it on Amazon as well.

Best wishes to you as you resume your weight loss journey.
  8. The Vitamin Shoppe stores and many convenience/grocery stores selling single RTD protein drinks.

    Bariatric Advantage VS Celebrate

The mango peach Isopure is pretty good.
  10. You look amazing. Keep up the excellent work.

    No WHEY Protein Powder

Garden of Life's Raw Meal Chocolate Cacao is my favorite non-whey protein. It's brown rice protein. It tastes pretty good.
  12. I attended my first insurance required Nutrition Class today. It was an absolute snooze fest. I felt like I was present in a middle school health class. I left feeling as if it was a 90 minute waste of my time. I certainly hope that the next 5 classes aren't as mundane. June 11 is the last class. That date seems so far away. I'm sure the time will whiz by,but I just wish that the classes were not a requirement.

anyone hoping for an early summer surgery?

I complete my 6 months of nutrition and education classes on June 11. I'll likely be a late June or early July sleever.

    NSV for Toenails

I missed this comment. Non scale victory does make more sense.

    NSV for Toenails

Why is it called a "Non-Surgical Victory"? It's because of the surgery that the success was achieved.

    What is NSV?

Substitute addiction - Candy Crush game!

It ends at Level 515. I beat that easily. New levels were just added to Dreamworld. I'm stuck on Level 73 there.

Substitute addiction - Candy Crush game!

I became addicted to this game, but I haven't paid $50 bucks a month. I've blown cash trying to beat every level of this game, but it wasn't that much. I beat the game, so I'm as obsessed anymore. Thank God...I didn't want to spend anymore money. lol
  19. I can't wait. I avoid sex now because of my weight. It's just too much of an effort and I hate tiring out quickly. I look forward to long and GREAT sessions. I'm giggling just thinking about it. lol

    The Android App? SO frustrating..

The iPad app leaves much to be desired as well. I usually log in from my laptop.
  21. My friend had had the gastric sleeve, and she still eats all of the foods that you listed. I believe the key is eating them in moderation. I can't imagine living without avocado! lol

    PBS Documentary on wls

    I will definitely watch.
  23. I've been deciding on surgery for about 2 years now. Back in 2011, I began pre-op requirements to have the Lap-Band surgery. I stopped due to a career change and insurance complications. I didn't think much again about having WLS until I started doing research on the Gastric Sleeve this past fall. I made the decision to have surgery in December. I attended a seminar and was scheduled for a consult 2 days later. I began my 6 month nutrition program this month. I'm excited and nervous for what's to come. There is nothing hindering me this time around.

    Glorious!

    That's great news!
  25. Highmark BC/BS requires 6 monthy visits in a supervised Bariatric program. The classes should be 30 days apart. My scheduled classes aren't all 30 days apart, but my coordinator advised that I shouldn't worry about that. The classes are set, and it's impossible to schedule them 30 days apart.
