    Feeling Wimpy

Hi Jackarae. I'm 68 & I had my VSG on 4-16-14 three weeks ago. I am feeling pretty good. My stamina is not good yet & my back gets tired easily but I'm tolerating the liquid/puree diet well & don't have any pain. I'm wondering if you have a physically demanding job or if you might be having some hormones fluctuations that are affecting you. I have had an appointment with my chiropractor & a massage & think those additional alternative therapies helped me very much. I hope you feel better very soon! I wish you much success!

    Any More Sixties?

To Lindafromflorida & carol5417. Thanks so much for your responses! That's the kind of good news I need to hear. I'm so tired and scared and achy and short of breath right now it's hard to imagine I could feel like walking and shopping soon. If you pray, please keep me in your prayers. If I can get through this next week, I think I can make it. (I'll probably be saying the same thing the week after that :-)

    Any More Sixties?

I'm new to this site and am thrilled to find a 60's group on it. I'll be 68 next month and my surgery is scheduled for April 16. 2014 -- this coming Wednesday!. I'm excited, but also getting kinda nervous. I'd love to hear more about what the first few days and weeks of recovery were like for folks my age.

    My VSG experience

Thank you for taking the time to write all this. My surgery is in 5 days and this is exactly the kind of information I was hoping to find! Great explanations and great tips. It's a shame about the insensitive remarks you had endure.
