  1. Surgery was March 24th. 39 lbs gone... I promised myself the first 40 lbs I lost I was going to do something for me on my bucket list. Excited to say I booked my trip to Central America(Belize) for a week in June. Very excited!!! I wish everyone's surgery could be as smooth as mine has been. Feeling Blessed!!!

by the way I'm free in June ;). Have the time of your life!!

  2. It seems so strange to want things I never really liked before my surgery. I find myself wanting coffee and salty things. Before I might have drank coffee maybe one cup every 3-4 months and never liked salty things. Post op weight loss 65lbs surgery was 3-7 :)

great job! Indeed it is strange how the taste buds change, I hated green Beans now, I eat them a few times a week.

  3. The last post I made I stated that my appetite was poor, well, it went from poor to none. I was away interviewing for jobs out of state. I was 7 weeks post op. And then the projectile vomiting, nausea and stomach pain started. I was in the ER for 4 days but they only make you comfortable but wont do more. I had to fly home and head straight to my hospital and my surgeon found that my opening from my pounch to my intestine was completely closed. No wonder nothing went down. I had to have a GI doc open me up with doing an EGD with the tiny camera. Now the camera I was told also had trouble fitting in. Im still in the hospital and have to do it again out patient procedure in 2 weeks. Glad but also sad. Not a great experience. Had regrets.

. Wow! I'm sending prayers your way and I hope things get better for you. Please keep us updated.

  4. Hope so but it was for a day only I removed it as soon as I got in my feet. I told my doctor or don't need one but still he inserted it. I had such a fuss about it.

yeah, it took a few days for it to calm down on me too..lol...I feared that more than the surgery..lol

  5. I know im not a march post opp im april post opp rny. I have decided to write a post cuz ive noticed that myself and 2others are around the same loss around same time and the 3of us seem to beating ourselves up feeling that not enough loss all 20_24pound loss. I jus looking to see if i can get any words of advise i can share. Thanx.

only thing I have to offer is to not compare your loss to others, everyone is different. Take every pound loss as a step forward, and stay away from the scales, I weigh myself no more than every other week.

  6. Men are men, no matter what country or race they are, they want their women to be slim and not be over weight. Its like this especially in the Indian culture. If I was thin like a decade ago or even in my early 20s, I would have been married by now...sad but true, appearance is the first thing people see no matter where you go even if its for dating, marriage or work.

not all men, I like my ladies with curves..not into bags of bones..sorry

  7. I'm down 40 lbs since march 24th but my appetite is poor. I'm not eating any Protein and can't stand meat at all. Going to try tofu. I want to eat but can't. Smh I thrive on smoothies but only a couple of sips. Dr. Is aware and just said thats how some people eat. Not liking that answer

yeah, I would worry also, hopefully things will change for you. Let me know about the tofu, been meaning to try some.

  8. And here is me today. These are not my flowers, but they matched my shirt so my coworker took a picture. My pants are too big! I couldn't believe that I was actually "ok" with the way I looked in this pic. So I thought I would share. It's a big victory to think "wow, that's not so bad!"

    wow Erin! You look hot!!
