I feel great and I'm back to work and I'm down from a size 18-20 to a size 14. I am so happy I had the surgery and I have no regrets I feel awesome I'm off my blood pressure medication and my sleep apnea is minimal.

My surgery was March 6th. I'm down 32 pounds since then. I've been taken off all of my diabetes meds and cleared of diabetes. Also; my blood pressure med has been cut in half. You and I are doing great. Way to go.

Trust me going from the band to the sleeve was the best thing I ever did, so far I have not had any complication at all from the surgery just a sore throat. I am 12 days post op. Just relax and follow the instruction of your doctor. I must say drinking 64 oz of liquid will be hard I still have problems with that getting down 8-16 oz. I am down 10 pounds and the doctor took me off my blood pressure medication (GREAT). Stay focus and u will be fine. Keep me posted on your journey in April did they give you the exact date yet? Best of luck and u will do well.

I get the weird cramping as well. Kind of like a big bubble that forms in my stomach every time I swallow something a little too much. I personally didn't have a drain, but it is very common to have one after surgery. Best of luck!

. Hello all: prior to my surgery date my Dr placed me on a 1200 calorie for 2 weeks and I lost 10 pounds yes!!!!!!!Well Jan 27 I arrived at the hospital at 7:00 am and surgery time is 9:00. Ready to begin my new life my Dr. walk in and said it's better to do my procedure in two phases. I'm having the lap band removed and then the sleeve statistics has shown that you have a less of a wrist of Fluid leakage if you do it in two stages so on the 27th he will remove my lap band are rescheduled me for my sleeve six weeks later which will be March 12. I was a little baffle but I understood he has my best interest at heart. I felt great after the first phase of my surgery. I was release today 1/28/14 and will return back yo work on Monday 2/3/14.

Just try to keep your eye on the prize. There are times right after surgery that are going to be sore and you may even second guess your decision. Just remember that it is 100% normal. In all of my research that I did I never saw anyone that regretted their decision in the end. I had my regrets right after mostly out of fear. It does go away and it gets so much better than you could have ever imagined! I am only 2 months and 4 days post op and I am so pleasantly surprised! No amount of research is going to truly prepare you for the surgery because everyone's journey is different. I remember being terrified walking into the operating room, but I am now 56 pounds down 2 months out. I am at a weight that I haven't seen in years and I am happier than I have been in a long time. We have neglected ourselves for too long...we have put ourselves on the back burner while we take care of our kids and husbands and just life in general. It is time that you do this for yourself! You are going to become a healthier you and you won't regret it! Try your best to push all of your fears aside and keep reminding yourself that you are doing this to better yourself and your health. Picture yourself smaller and healthier. I have never liked to exercise...I tried a lot and I always failed. Lugging around a lot of extra weight just made working out miserable. I saw so many people saying how much they loved to workout now and I, of course, had hopes of doing the same, but my expectations for that were low. I have gotten to the point now where I workout off and on throughout my day. I am very active. I don't have those crazy strong cravings anymore, either. I would crave food so strongly that I would leave my house at 10 at night to go grab a big mac because I saw a commercial on the TV. I don't have that issue anymore. It is amazing how much this surgery has changed in my life in my two short months post op! I'm not saying that these things will happen for you...it isn't guaranteed that you will have drive to work your butt off, but I'll tell you seeing those numbers on the scale getting smaller and smaller will make you want to get up and move! I hit a stall earlier this month and I knew I had to do something. I began working out and the weight jumped ship. I know you will do amazing and you are going to be so happy with your new healthier body and lifestyle! I will keep you in my prayers! God bless you! Keep us posted on your awesome progress that is to come!

After having my gallbadder out over 10 years ago I went threw years of having bathroom issues. I could not eat fastfood without having to go to the bathroom within 15 min later. I found that if I ate anything high in fat it triggered it. I saw a doctor and he told me that the gall bladder holds the bile that is released to break down fatty foods so since I did not have a gallbadder anymore it was being released into my small intestine and it was causing me to have bloating and pain and runny BM. It has gotten better and now since being sleeved and still in the pureed stage I have not really eaten any fatty foods to know if it will still happen. To tell you the truth I'm having the other problem of only going every three or four days.

I am scheduled for surgery in Austin, TX on 01/14/2014. I only have to do a pre op diet for 2 weeks which is 900 calories a day which contain no more than 30 g of carbs, 10g of fat, and a minimum of 70g of Protein a day. I do a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch. I ate egg whites yesterday because I hit a starving moment and it did the job. Then for dinner I am eating salads, green Beans, broccoli, or some other green vegtable and about 10 ounces of grilled chicken breast. So far I am on my 3rd day and its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. But I can see what people mean when they refer to head hunger and after surgery when I am on complete liquids only, I hope that I feel just as satisfied now. This is definitely a lifestyle change and I have learned so much already in my journey. I wish you luck on your journey and your upcoming surgery.
