    Willpower and umm....chocolate

I savor my two chocolate Calcium chews every day which are actually pretty good(CVS brand). I have found that any Protein bar that has chocolate in it is completely off limits for me. It is a candy bar to me, plain and simple, and I will eat it when I buy it and then want more. sugar free Chocolate Jello pudding is quite good. And when I absolutely cannot possibly talk myself out of it, I stop at Dunkin Donuts drive through, buy a hot tea with skim milk and splenda and a banana chocolate chip muffin. Then, I immediately park the car, break the muffin in half and wrap half of it in a napkin and the bag and lock it in the trunk!! And splurge and enjoy the half of a muffin which is still not great, but way better than a whole one. I am an expert on managing to have chocolate and still maintain the Lapband suggested way to eat. I had surgery Dec 18 and have lost 23 lbs since the day I started the pre-op liquids. I could not live without chocolate in some form at some times.
  2. I had my first fill today after my Dec 18 surgery. I am sore at the stent area and some in my back, but not really bad. It was a painful but not unbearable experience. Good thing, as I will be doing this many more times in my life! Now back to liquids only for 48 hours. Doctor said I can eat any foods I want to now with of course the limitations that go along with the Band.I am about 3 weeks post surgery and have done fine with very small amounts of shrimp cocktail and grilled chicken chewed many many times. So far, so good. The doctor said I am doing well and I am about 20 pounds down from the first day of pre-op shakes. This is my first time responding to anything but I have been reading and benefitting from these forums for several weeks.
