I was in the grocery store the other day, it was way past time for me to eat and I hadn't taken my shake with me....I saw a shake in the grocery that had lots of protein so I picked it up and read the label. It had 49 gr of CARBS.....yikes!!!!! We have to read those labels!!!

Water "keeps things Moving" -
I am not even two months post op yet and I am feeling so, so much more like my old self!!! I feel wonderful. I have taken so much wt off my knees and yesterday I was able to do some heavy housework and have been working in my yard, and cooking and being the wonderful wife I used to be, as well as riding my Airdyne for 30 minutes. It feels AWESOME!!! I, like others, wondered the first 10 days what on earth I had done.....I had some depression but worked through it and stayed on course. I followed my doctors plan and still do, exactly what the team told me to do and I have had no dumping, no pain, and knock on wood, no stalls. I feel, already like I am in a different body. Before surgery , a sz 2X was tight on me, and I was so uncomfortable in my clothes. Now a 1X is loose and comfy. I just want those who feel so uncertain to know good things are ahead, Stay the course, keep your eye on the prize. Read my previous post..."what I have lost and what I have gained"...wishing you the best.....

You go girl...and look at that wonderful weight loss!!! -
Love it, wouldn't use anything else. I have to get it at Sam's Club and they still just have Chocolate and vanilla. I prefer the chocolate. The vanilla is ok if I am putting fruit in it to make a smoothie but I sure recommend the Premier.

What is all the fuss about drinking water to lose weight?

The entire Bariatric TEAM that I had working with me told me the number one reason for re- admissions after surgery is because of dehydration!!!! The need for Water is NOT to help you lose wt but rather to keep you hydrated and keep you flushed. (Added benefit, less dry skin, and less constipation) Have you ever gotten a massage and afterwards they told you to drink lots of water the rest of the day??? I AM A VERY STRONG ADVOCATE FOR MY OWN HEALTHCARE!!!!! I am not an idiot and I do know that this is my doctors specialty, he put together an entire team to work with his patients . It is also common sense to drink water when the mouth is dry, which mine is most of the day. I drink water because I am thirsty, and by the time we are thirsty, we are already probably dehydrated. Also I live in ARIZONA!! It is hot. Nobody goes anywhere without taking water with them. Do I believe everything that comes out of my doctors mouth? If he told me to stand on my head and boil Beans in my butt, I probably would say "after you" but something as common sense as staying hydrated after having my guts rearranged makes sense to me. Your mileage may vary. Why did you post is you didn't want opinions???? -
any Leslie Sansone are good

How soon after multiple procedures can you resume exercise (Zumba)

is your insurance paying for all this??? -
I have followed my doctors plan explicitly and have had no dumping, cereal is a calorie/carb hog with little protein and you probably should avoid it

Went to the first seminar last night and did a complete 180!

I wanted sleeve but insurance would not pay for that. I opted for bypass and am glad I did as stats show bypass patients have to follow plans more rigorously or there will be dumping....I needed that.....I am glad I did. -
Where can I find reliable stats?

Torani is a coffee syrup that they use in flavored coffees. We use the Sugar Free. It can be found in various flavors in the coffee section of most grocery or big box stores
