  1. Last month I was a positive confirmed pregnancy by my Dr. I was 5 months post op. Then I started spotting... Lost the baby with in 2 weeks of the spotting. Anyone else? I was devastated! I haven't been able to get pregnant for 7 years. Anyone have any suggestions? My husband and Dr said let's wait a month and try again. My mom wants me to wait until 1 year post op as originally suggested by my dr. Anyone have past experiences or advice. Thank you!
  2. I'm 8 weeks post op I've noticed my hands and feet are so dry and are cracking to the point it's painful and bleeding. I know it's winter but I live in South Florida, it's not really winter. Anyone else with dry skin? What do I use? Everything I seem to use doesn't moisturize enough and pretty much all lotions I have put on burn!
  3. Everyone one agree the Ninja is comparable to the Vitamix just a lot less $?
  4. That's true, an entire blender is quite large for what we can eat.
  5. Have a Breville Blender, a pretty expensive Blender!!! Having trouble with Ice in it. My friends all rave and say I must get a Vitamix. I don't mind spending the money if it truly is different but someone else told me to get a Ninja at more than half the cost but does the same as a Vitamix. What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated!
  6. M 5 weeks post op today. (Down 43 lbs) last night before bed I was watching tv in bed and I had really bad bone pain in my hip and femur in my left leg. Anyone have any possible suggestions? I was thinking maybe I'm low in potassium. Idk, anyone else have this?

    Any Florida Sleevers?

Oh no I was self pay too... I decided to do it and it only took a month to get sleeved. There were some prior requirements but I appreciated them because it was to make sure I was healthy enough for surgery. It was not nearly as extensive as insurance patients. I loved my experience at Wellington Regional and Dr. Wizman is awesome. His personality is amazing and after a lot of research he is one of the best surgeons in South Florida and in my opinion maybe even in the country. The staff is very knowledgeable and he is truly an amazing surgeon. I'm so happy I went with him. Me and my sleeve are still getting to know each other and I also have had several prior stomach and gastric surgeries for other health issues. I'm 5 weeks post op today.

    Any Florida Sleevers?

I have family that lives in Delray it only takes me 15 min to get there. I had my surgery done in Wellington by Dr. Wizman. How are you 10 months out? I get sick easily still and I'm not eating or drinking enough. I can't or I get sick. I feel like I'll never be normal again.

    Incissions!

    Where can I get it?
  10. I'm 3.5 week post op. About a week after I got home I figured out I was allergic to the Protonix I was supposed to take for at least the first 3 months. Since figuring out my allergy my NP said stop taking it but didn't give me an alternative. Anyone have an OTC suggestion? I was thinking Tums? Any suggestions? I have a lot of acid today burning my throat!

    Getting sleveed now

I felt the exact same way. To the point where they said no one is keeping you here. No one is forcing you. If you want to leave you clothes are right there. Change and go if you want. I was so scared I kept crying before. I was in pain the 2nd day after and I also cried to my mom and said I made a mistake. My mom said it would get easier. It has and I'm happier every day that I did it. I'm 3 weeks and 3 days post op. The chances are low for complications. Just follow your doctors directions and you should be fine. This is a life change. It shouldn't be taken lightly. You decide what it's worth to you.
  13. That's terrible! When I was pregnant with my son I was in the drs office and two old women were sitting behind me and were saying it was appalling how much weight women gain these days while pregnant and it was a shame I let myself go while pregnant because I had such a pretty face! I was soooooo uncomfortable in the waiting room that day! ( I did gain almost 100 pounds while pregnant with my son, I had preeclampsia and they didn't finally catch it till a week after I had him)

    Incissions!

I never had a drain. My dr looked at them last week and said since nothing was oozing they were ok. They just didn't look how he wants them to. My concern is they haven't improved since last week either. I guess I'll call them tomorrow.
