60 lbs gone forever!!

Hello Everyone!! This week makes 5 weeks since I had my Revision surgery from lap band to VSG! When I started my weight loss surgery I weighed 250 lbs. The day of my revision I weighed 208.6 lbs. Last week I weighed 192 lbs, on Monday I weighed in at 190 lbs. So far after revision I have lost 18.6 lbs! I was kind of sad that I'm losing so slowly. But then I did the math! Lol if I keep losing 2 lbs a week I will be at my weight goal of 160 in like 3 1/2 months so I will totally take it! I have lost 60 lbs since the beginning and I can't wait to reach goal!! I really hope I could be under 185 for valentines! Let's see! Hope everyone is doing great!! Love reading all ur inspiring messages and threads!! Be safe, stay healthy!

I am 3 weeks today as well from a revision and I am loosing slowly as well. The relearning is a challenge that I welcome with 2014. Glad to hear that you are doing well. Happy New year to you as well.

Last week I weighed 195 lbs, on Monday I weighed in at 192lbs. So far after revision I have lost 16.6 lbs slow but steady! I'm relearning how to eat. It is very different from the lap band! I've had two surgeries. Lap band and now sleeve. It is HARD work!! U go girl!!

For me the gas pains in my abdomen weren't relieved with Gas-X or pain pills - the thing that helped me most was walking. I started by pacing in my condo then gradually moved to the parking lot and walking around the complex.

Does anyone else get pain on their left shoulder when they eat? It gets really painful.. But it then goes away!

Today one week after surgery I weigh 199.0 lbs!! That means I lost 9.6 lbs on the first week and made it to Onederland!!!! Yay!! I go to see the surgeon Tomorrow and really hope he could take out this drain. I feel so restricted with it!! Anyway, hope everyone has a great week! Stay safe & be healthy

Congratulations on your revision AND making it to Onederland! I was fortunate enough not to require a drain, but I hear people feel a world of difference once it is out.
Don't get worried if your weight loss slows as the first week can be a week of losing all the fluids they pumped in you during your procedure. Soon, you will get to the phase where you are burning fat, but remember it will also burn muscle, so be sure to get as close as you can to your Protein requirements.
