Hey guys. I'm scheduled to be banded with the Lapband on May 5th. I live in Tualatin.

I am in Aloha Oregon and would love a mentor who has done this already. My surgery is scheduled for June 10th at OHSU. I am having the Roux en Y.

I had an awesome phone call today moving me to the next stage of food (was supposed to be on Monday) I cried. Lol so emotional. Anyway I had like no food because I've been on liquids. So I scrambled up some things and made a tuna mousse with double Protein cream cheese I had. Some lemon, a tsp o sour cream just to moisten (didn't have mayo), dash of Tabasco, some pepper... Put a tbsp on a cracker with some melted cheese and it was heavenly lol ahhh substance

Just hearing portland makes me sad. I so miss portland. I moved to Texas 2 years ago. I miss my home....lived in Beaverton actually.

I slept 30 min the night before surgery and I wish I took some melatonin and slept more because the three days in the hospital they woke me up every 15-30 min. The day I left my fiancée was like do u want me to go pick this up then come get you and I was like noooo get me the hell out of here so I can sleep lol

I don't think it's inappropriate for people to express their reasoning for not choosing a specific WLS, just because you don't like their reasoning doesn't mean they are bashing it.

I'm so glad you asked this question because I got on here in the same search!! I began really working out hard this week (running, weights, barre class) and seriously EVERY DAY, the scale has gone up .5 lbs. EVERY DAY! I can handle stalls all day long (I'm 4 months post op), but gaining was really bothering me! I'll continue to keep on, keepin' on!
