I began my bariatric journey on January 28th 2012 and had band surgery on May 7th of 2012.  My start weight was 266 and unfortunately, my band slipped in July of 2013 setting me back and putting me in a position to make another decision...fix the band or convert?  I chose to convert to the sleeve and began the process all over again.  I've regained some weight with no restriction from the band these past months.  While a setback and frustrating...I've come to far to turn back now.  It took more than a month to have my medical insurance review the case and finally approve the surgery on November 28th.  So...a new page is turned and the journey...we to be continued...
