Right now, I am focusing on football...good games this weekend! Otherwise, like you I am really trying on focusing in moving...and making sure I am getting in my fluids...still a struggle for me!

They let me come home about 1 this afternoon. The walking wasn't horrible and I plan on doing some walking around the neighborhood now that I'm home. So glad I did this. No regrets! Thanks for the support guys.

Like you guys I am able to drink well, and thus was moving ahead on adding more things to my diet... The PA at my surgeons office cautioned me and said that while I may have good capacity the staple line is still healing and things like pudding, and yogurt are tougher to digest... So I am back to shakes Soups and clear liquids... Needless to say I am bummed as I thought I was doing quite well for myself.

Hello my fellow sleevers and Ty for such a warm bench, thoughts and prayers xoxoxo!! Yesterday was a really bad day n horrible night. I had a hernia repaired as well, so now I'm havn what they call esophageal spasms, they gave me evry med under the sun...they gave me the scop patch for nausea bc the meds had my eyes bouncing everywhere and I'm bad about motion sickness. I do however, have a lot of chest pains that move to my heart, they did so many test to rule out heart attack, all is well w my heart, Praise God! Today I was given an nsaid, which yall know is contraindicated for us sleevers but it made all my suffering from pain go completely away.. they double check w the physician but bc I'd been given so much meds which I was allergic too, Not sure which, so I was then given benedryl a lot. This morning was taken for leak test but the contrast only a little traveled through so they cancelled it for tomorrow, doc said I was too swollen inside. So another day wo drinking. Just swabs to wet my whistle. I dont think I have gas pains but either way, this pain n my chest and heart is killing me. My families here and taking care of me, Yippie . My throat is fine, wudn even know I had a tube in it. Still have catheter, leg hoses and pain pump. Other than these spasms, which feels like a knife cutting me inside and hiccup spasms, I feel pretty good. Thank you my friends and prayer warriors! I appreciate u gr8ly:). To all of todays sleevers I pray ur all recovering well, I'm so proud of our Dec group, we have made it. In advance, HAPPY NEW YR, can't wait for us all to start posting b4 and after pics! So sometimes I am able to drink my Water so quickly and several ounces at a time, I keep thinking there is something wrong with me! All liquids go down way to easy.... I want puree so bad just to feel that restriction to make sure all is as it should be. I am still not "hungry" so that is a good thing, but with the liquids only, I really don't get that full feeling.

Oh Deez...our ever faithful cheerleader...I am SO excited that tomorrow is your day...you have been so encouraging to all of us on here, and I am just sure that everyone is rooting for you as well. I am praying for a very smooth procedure and recovery for you and all of the Dec. 30 sleevers! I will be eagerly awaiting your return with how things went!

Tamij I agree... Awesome that you got out and tried something... My husband had surgery a year ago and he gets a virgin Bloody Mary every time he plays golf... Says it's heaven.
Mama spike, I have lost 12 lbs since surgery. And nothing last two days. Surgery was just on 12/20... 12 lbs isn't shabby.

Tonight I was at my daughter school Christmas play, and all these moms had on tall boots, leggings and these precious long sweaters... and they looked perfectly put together... Next year... I wanna have legs that look good in leggings and boots!

There's a website called ModCloth that makes really cute, retro clothes. They have a plus size section, but I don't feel comfortable enough in my body right now to wear many of the items.
I want to be able to order a regular sized, cute, holiday dress from ModCloth that comes slightly above the knee, with cute, patterned pantyhose and cute shoes, not the ugly orthodic ones I've been forced to wear due to foot and knee pain.
For casual holiday get togethers, I look forward to wearing skinny jeans with a tunic that hugs my curves (not rolls mind you, but CURVES)

I got my magic bullet off eBay but they had them at costco for $44. Can't wait to start using mine. I watched an infomercial early this morning.

Well, my clothes still feel the same, as most of my casual clothes are very forgiving(leggings, tunics, dresses). BUT, I did notice today that my tummy no longer touches the steering wheel when I drive! Woot!

Barefeet! That's great, I am same on Protein 8oz at a time is my limit. Water seems to be much easier.

it seems I saw some at Walmart for not much, special edition red one was under 30 or 35 I think, may not have anymore left. But you might can find a pretty good deal this week somewhere! Mama spike 44 is a great deal too.
My husband got me a food processor for Christmas, it should get here in a week. I'm looking forward to getting by purée stage.

And just in case that doesn't work either or it's too much trouble, here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of Lean Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
- 1 Large Green Pepper
- 1 Large Red Pepper
- Laughing Cow Light Swiss cheese Wedges
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Romaine Lettuce Hearts
Instructions:
- Cook your pound of lean beef or turkey and season to taste.
- Cut both large peppers into 10ths and saute in a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
- Take a romaine lettuce leaf and cut off about an inch of the harder part of the leaf (it doesn't fold well and your food will fall out.)
- Open your laughing cow light swiss cheese wedge and spread it in the center of the romaine leaf.
- Add 2 oz of your cooked meat
- Add 1 strip of each of the peppers
- Eat up!

My hope is to be able to wear something that didn't come from Lane Bryant!

I just moved to cloudy liquids today, I had a vanilla Protein shade with 50g of protein! Trying to start my days with as much protein as possible so that I'm not tired. Going to slowly introduce the new liquid.... Scared that some may disagree with my new tummy, and I do not want to get sick.
