New Mexico, Anyone?
- New Mexico, Anyone?
I had my surgery 10 months ago at Lovelace on the west side with dr Sanchez. Then, a short time later Lovelace split with ABQ Partners so now I see dr. Vuong. I haven't had any problems at all, except for some slow weight loss My stats- down 68 pounds. 28 pounds to goal. BMI finally below 30. I have lost 33 inches. Down from a size 22 to a 14. I am very pleased and feeling great! Yes please do let me know when you start going to classes. I'd love to meet up! How are you doing on your journey?- What's the story behind your profile name?
I have a Tinkerbell fetish. Tink is my hooker name also lol Fun thread!- New Mexico, Anyone?
I was sleeved by Dr. Sanchez, before dr. Vuong took over. i have been going to his weekly groups for support and education. ive really enjoyed Dr. Vuong, he is a free spirit with a great attitude. i hope we can get together before or after a meeting?- Pretty sure I f***ed up the sleeve. No leak, but I might as well have never gotten it.
Throwaway (i do NOT like calling you that), my personal opinion is that there is nothing you can do to stop the hairloss. i dont think vitamins will help that, either. *take care and be kind to hair (and to yourself, of course). try to use good products on your hair. avoid chemicals and blow dryers. biotin may help to make it grow back fuller. *i dont know if any doc actually does this, but i know they can tell the size of the stomach by doing an upper GI. talk to your surgeon. *Be honest with your therapist and your doc. this is your reality and you need to be honest with yourself and the people that can help you thru this. * the sleeve is not going away. that is permanent. its your choice, one day at a time, to face this positively and get on with your new, thinner, more healthy life. * how old are you? they really cant tell your mom anything if you are 18 or over. Besides, your mom may be able to help you more than you give her credit for. * "to thine ownself be true" another fave motto. Hang tough!!!!- Pretty sure I f***ed up the sleeve. No leak, but I might as well have never gotten it.
do not dismay. you may be having some buyer's remorse. you said your 6 weeks out right? here are some tips: *track your drinking on something like myfitnesspal. it helps to see how many calories all those drinks add up to. *go and talk to your surgeon. i went to my surgeons office when my weight loss was at a stall and it really helped to go see them they will help you figure out if your stomach has actually stretched. my understanding is that it can only stretch so much, and never back to its original size. my surgeon does not believe that liquids stretch out the stomach. * youve had amazing weight loss! be grateful. * i agree that counseling may be of great help to you. it helps me with food issues and body image issues. * as far as the hair loss is concerned-- this is temporary. I know have frustrating this can be. it will stop. i lost about a 1/3 of my volume and no one noticed but me. * and never forget "Bullshit thyself not" (my motto) best of luck to you. glad you are reaching out for help.- New Mexico, Anyone?
