  4. You look amazing. Thanks for sharing!
  5. I am about 4 months out and have lost52 lbs. more than half way to goal. I just worked up the courage to apply for two really great jobs. One as a nursing school instructor and one as a charge nurse in labor and delivery. I'm not sure I will qualify because it has been 10 years since I last worked. I felt to bad about myself to even think about re-entering the work force But today I got two calls. One was an invitation to send in my résumé. The second call is for an interview for Friday!! Never would I have had the guts to even apply before the surgery. I am hopeful for the first time in a long time. Hit 'like' to give me a boost and some encouragement Are you feeling better about yourself? What kind of chances have you been taking with the new you? Please share!
  6. 800 cals a day is a diet.
  7. I'll tell you why I am disappointed. I thought I would have this surgery and never have to diet again. I thought I would have no hunger. I thought I would fill up really fast. Truth is I have no regrets. I'm disappointed that I spent 16,000 dollars and I'm still dieting. I still get hungry. But I do fill up faster. But the diet is hard. I follow it to the letter and I exercise every other day. I am almost 4 months postop And have lost 46 lbs. I am on MFP and that is helpful. I was as psychologically and mentally prepared as I could be. And follow this site religiously. It has been a God send for me. I guess I thought my dieting days were over. I'm just as obsessed with food as I was before, but in a different context now.
  8. Chapstick, clean undies and a stuffed animal
  9. I bet it will be gone in another 2 days. In the meantime, the thing that works the best is a heating pad. Feel better!
  10. I would love it! Now I just need to know how much shipping is for a box of clothes. anybody know?
  11. Just out of curiosity, how much was the average shipping costs? For how many items? Any info is appreciated
  12. I have a mirena IUD and had no problems. The surgeon knew about it and had no issues with it.
  13. Thank you for sharing your success with us! Amazing job. what an inspiration!
  14. That if you bend over after eating, you will throw up. Everyone needs plastic surgery after WLS A two week preop diet is a must to shrink the liver. Everybody gets a catheter. Sex always gets better- haha
  15. Ditto for me. I've been hungry for 3 1/2 months. I eat small high protein snacks and Popsicles. And try to stay busy.
  16. I mostly mashed up stuff really good and chewed, chewed, chewed: canned salmon , canned chicken, avocados, bananas
  17. Normal! I remember feeling the same way. We are grieving. The loss of food and a lifestyle it's enough to make anyone depressed. I can promise you that each day gets easier-it did for me. One caveat, of course, if the depression gets serious or if you feel suicidal get help immediately. Hang tough!!
  18. OMG! I can't even imagine what you have been thru. You are so brave! I'm touched by your story and I'm sure it will make a difference. I look forward to more of your honest posts. Be well!
  19. Send pics. we would love to see. Here i am with long hair, and then later that day after a cut.
  20. To anyone who has bought or sold clothes on the clothing exchange forum. What is a fair price for clothes? I have about 20 items that someone is interested in buying. How much is a fair price for the clothes? How much is shipping on the clothes. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
