  2. No one knows any long term complications? I've read a few things but I wanted to see what people really experience.
  3. Anyone here that knows what kind of complications are common long term after bypass? I'm talking about 5, 10+ year veteran's? I'm so scared about having this surgery and it being great at the beginning but then later on down the road having a bunch of stuff going wrong.
  4. I'm a little taken back by how young he looked/is, I know that it doesn't define him as a good surgeon or not but when I asked how many bypass' he has done he replied with...200!! Is it me or does that seem like a very small amount?!?! Should I be concerned? He was very informative and nice but I just can't get over that # LOL

  14. I'm so excited, I get to meet my surgeon for the first time next Friday. I'm so nervous, scared, hoping I'm making the right choice. I backed out of my surgery last year because my surgeon had just lost his wife to cancer and I did not feel comfortable with him working on me after that. Fast forward to now...we are living in a different state, I just turned 35, I am bigger than I have ever been. I am ready to make a change and get healthy!
  15. So glad your doing so well!
  16. Good luck! You'll do awesome ????
  17. You look great! Keep up the good work!
  18. I'm having the same concerns, I'm scared that I'm scared that I'm going to be in that % that will experience complications. I too have thought about doing this surgery for over a year and finally just came to a conclusion that if I don't do it, my life is basically over anyway. I mean yes I would be here physically but for how long??? I want to LIVE and be healthy. Good luck to you sweetie on your decision.
  19. I'm in Fort Walton beach but will be going to Pensacola and having surgery done with Dr. Lord. My consult is on Sept. 2. How long after your initial consult could I expect to get a surgery date?
