hipsnomore got a reaction from Ballermom in Worried This Won't Work...anyone Else?
Hi I'm 65 lbs down since June still have about another 60 to lose --- it will work !!
I was scared at first but remember use it as a weight loss tool you still need to eat the right things and exercise yes you can have a bite of a brownie or a taste of ice cream down the road but I have never bought any of it for the house and to tell you the truth I don't miss it if I want something sweet I usually have a taste and that's it . Just remember you still have to work at it and it will come off . Good luck to all!!

I have lost the stress that resulted from my lack of self confidence and thinking about my weight every second of the day. This is liberating.

I'm almost 6 mos. out from my surgery & about to reach my goal weight. Like you I have much the same questions; the weight has come off so easily that I am concerned that I don't keep losing after I hit goal. I anticipate I will need to eat more Snacks and/or higher calorie foods. I have been losing about a pound a week the past 2 months & eventually need to stop. I'll look forward to seeing what replies you get to your topic.

hips
maybe, kindof, NO!!!!
I have successfully been at goal this past year
but.............you/me/all must continue to watch everything you put in your mouth just like you are doing now
there are many discussions on the board concerning how easy it is to gain weight!!!
i "think" some people think once they reach goal, things will be fine and they can kindof "loosen" up a bit
welll...........you can eat a "little" more - your tummy probably will allow you to - but you still must be careful
this is a forever new lifestyle you took on
don't worry about wilting away to nothing (even though i have seen a few people lose too much weight)
you will just maybe eat a few more calories et al if you find you are continueing to lose weight
great weight loss hips, (you too ruby )
I see goal in the very near future
WooHoo
both of you keep up the great job
good luck
kathy
congrats

I am 17 months post op from Bypass. Although our surgeries are different I am sure the maintenance phase is the same.
I work out 6-7 times a week, and keep my diet the same as I did when I was losing weight. Your body will find its comfortable weight. My goal weight was 150 and my docs was 175. I currently weigh 135. I go up and down from that weight. I truly feel that my body is comfortable between 130 and 140. I am still losing inches though.
The best way to stay on track is food logging. With food logs you can predict what your loss/gain will be. It is based off averages. One day you will go over your calorie goal and the next you might be under it. Hope that helps.

If I order a Chinese combination plate it's definitely 3 days worth of food I take few bites and my husband eats the egg roll it comes with

Its funny to me how things hit my mind randomly. Today, for some unknown reason-- it dawned on me that I'm no longer in that 100+ lbs overweight category. I've tracked my weight loss (daily -- yes i know this is not a good practice but it works for me) since I began my weight loss journey. I've watched the number on the scale steadily go down. I'm down 70 lbs & have gone from a size 24 to a 16. All of which I'm very proud of but reality set in today when it hit me that i no longer fit (yes, pun intended) in the 100+ lbs category that I have carried for a long time (much too long!)-- my heart just sang. I still have a long way to go but man, this milestone is a huge one for me.
Congrats to everyone on their success and on their personal journey!!

Today, November 19th 2013 marks one year since my sleeve gastrectomy! I am 140 pounds down and without any regrets! I am so grateful that I had this second chance at a healthy life!!!!! I took some time today to recognize my friends and family for all of the incredible support and encouragement that I've been provided with during this amazing journey. Nothing about this adventure has been easy, but it certainly has been worthwhile. <3
The picture left is me BEFORE, one year ago at my highest weight- 296 pounds. The right is me NOW at 156 pounds. I still want to lose about 16 more to weigh in at 140 pounds
