Who can tell me about protein and how that could lead to gout.

Can someone please explain to me why the body needs carbs to feel full longer than if you just ate meat and veggies. And how food companies hope to profit because of that need for carbs above and beyond what the body needs that we wind up obese.

Oh my god im an xl in sweatpants already. I just bought 4x sweatpants like 2 weeks ago and they were snug. I didnt think it was possible. On nov 11 i weighed 291 now today i weigh 249.

Guess what I downloaded a free app for a pedometer and there are alot of free pedometer choices. It works well. Just wanted to share that.

Hi well one of the incisions which there are 5 is leaking a clear fluid and is slightly red. Dont think its infected but I am concerned. I know if its a color or smells like puss its infected. Thank God I dont see that. I think if it was infected I would have a fever or something obvious. Lets see what happens. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Well Id like to say that the incision is itchy which i heard is a sure sign that its healing nicely now. I still keep it covered with a sterile gauze so it can breath no creams or ointments. I finished the antibiotics. I see the surgeon on the 12th of dec so he will evaluate my condition further. I wonder can I use sugar free metamucil to help with bowel movements. Can I get some feedback for that. Thanks.

Well just got back from the emergency room at the hospital. They prescribed antibiotics and bacitration for the incision with gauze. They took a culture. So monday I have to call my surgeon and have him get the results of the culture. I guess monday ill take it from there.

Well I'm at the emergency room at the hospital getting my incision looked at. There was a substantial amount of puss coming from the incision and it is bleeding.

Hi 15 days post op and I am not losing anymore weight but the 30 pounds so far, actually I think I gained 2 pounds but I think that is from fluid intake I drink over 64 ounces a day and also it might be muscle growth because I walk a mile and a half a day at least 40 minutes brisk walk. I read so much about the stall and I guess it will just go its course. I will remain vigialant and only weigh myself once a week instead of every morning. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi should I be concerned that I can drink like triple that amount with no discomfort or nausea. Please give feedback on this. Thanks.

Hi everyone, Its been 3 days since I left the hospital and I noticed by blood sugar readings fluctuating from normal 110 to 145 which is slightly high but I usually have a normal reading. I guess my body is fighting. Since I am instructed to not take my diabetic meds anymore. However I was instructed to call my doctor if I have a high reading of 200 twice or more. I guess this is normal but not sure I have a doctors appt this week so I will find out more. I would appreciate any comments or feedback on this. Thanks

Hi everybody, Well I had the sleeve procedure done. So far Im not a diabetic anymore, so far I havent taken my diabetic meds per my doctor. My glucose readings are normal now. So excited. I do alot of walking to try to get rid of gas which is normal. Walking really helps my physical recovery. So far I have lost like 7 pounds. My first week post op is a liquid diet. I noticed just because I dont have an appetite doesnt mean the smell of food is sometimes overwhelmingly good. If anybody has any advice it is greatly appreciated. I have an appt to see the surgeon and nutritionist in one week. Thanks
