She did my sleeve in 2/2014, and I just found out she did NOT use a bougie but instead used an EGD scope AND and EGD just revealed she only removed approximately 20% of my stomach!! So besides being pissed I'm now having a revision to roux en y with a competent surgeon on 4/18/16 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Is there anyone else out there looking at possible revision of the sleeve due to acid reflux?

Hi sleeved 2/3/14, dealing with reflux and regain of 20lbs (never got under 200 lbs with the sleeve) Surgeon predicted my goal weight as 222 SW: 297. I've never felt my sleeve was done correctly. Looking to revise due to reflux and regain. Being directed toward roux en y, but I do not have a gallbladder, so wouldn't it make more sense (since I'm already sleeved) to go with the DS? HELP, I need some input.

SassyPants, how is it different than pureeds? I'm putting everything in the blender for pureeds and am suppose to advance on Monday to Mechanical soft. Did you just eat your fish if it was flaky without putting it in the blender? I have NO guidance from my bariatric program and this phase has me completely in the dark

what did you eat while you were on Mechanical soft phase? I start on Monday and have no clue

I HATE my surgeon's Bariatric coordinator, she constantly scolds me for calling their office with questions, yet I'm suppose to call and get permission to move to the next phase. Anyway, I'm just sick of the stress and am trying to change surgeons. Has anyone changed surgeons post sleeve?

My psychiatrist told me she wasn't sure I would be successful with the sleeve bc when I had brain surgery and awoke from it, something "clicked" in my brain and I became a chocoholic (I was not a chocolate eater prior to brain surgery) her point is that the brain plays a large part in weight loss. Perhaps it has something to do with your mom's brain?

Gritty, I hear ya, I'm not sure where I will land, but it will be healthy and I'll be happy with how I look
