Yes..several people told me that I look good at my current weight. But I want to lose another 15 pounds. I really don't pay much attention to these comments..it is what I want for myself and at what weight I can maintain my weight. I am 5 feet 2 and 150 lbs is my goal.

Congrats on your success

I hadrons stay on full liquids for an extra week cause my tummy could not tolerate stage 2 foods..like whipped potatoes..Apple sauce.etc. Just be. Patient. It may take takes others to slower. I assure u..you will be able to eat almost everything once you are completely healed. When u do eat "normal" food.. Cut your meat, etc..into small bits. And chew chew chew.

My nutritionist and doc told me the first month is the progression time to increase your Protein intake. It took me 6 weeks before I was even close to my required protein I take. Talk to your nut/doc if u r concerned. I hear that many people like costco s premier drinks. You may want to try that.

Pagoda for you in your excitement for the surgery to happen. July will be here in no time. You have enough time to make changes in your habits prior to the surgery which will help u after surgery.

I have a lot more Energy since my sleeve surgery. I can jog without huffing and puffing. I am Much more active. I was having high blood pressure and high cholesterol because of my weight . I was afraid that I would get diabetes if I did not lose weight. Usually as you get older and remain obese..health issues escalates with age, So you are wise to get things under control now that you are young, best of luck. !!!!
Ps..not on any cholesterol or Bp meds anymore .. Not to mention looking good in my size 8 clothes.

Eating to numb myself from Stress, or hurt, or anxiety ..food was my best friend that helped me cope with life. I was sexually abused as a young girl..I don't know how it effected me with food,, but I know it effected my body image.
For a long tine , I felt it was my fault that this old man who was a family member seeked me out to abuse me and no one would believe me. I had to deal with guilt that was not warranted. Of course, I was too young to realize that I was a victim..I worked this issue out with a psychologist.
I am now very aware of my eating triggers .. I now check with my stomach and determine is this head hunger or real hunger. If it is head hunger,I get away from the situation that I am in.. And I prevail.

Such a wonderful smile. And a beauty at that. Keep it up,

Everyone has their own path to success with usurping the sleeve as a tool to get their, I , for one, do occasionally eat dark chocolate, a dessert, a hearty meal but in small quantities. I don't call that perfect ..I call it enjoying one of the pleasures of life,

Wishing you a speedy recovery after surgery. Be patient with different eating stages ..by 6 weeks I was eating regular foods. Keep us posted on your progress.

I have read posts to that effect that eye sight was blurry right after surgery. Talk to your dr if you are concerned.

Try to eat healthy meals.. Low fat meats, milk, etc. However, I do at times have a meal that is considered higher in fat and calories. And I think it is ok to break the monotony of eating . I don't feel guilty when I eat this type of meal. I just eat a smaller portion. I've learned to undo my all or nothing attitude of eating that got me in trouble all my life. It is great in feeling less guilty.

I also have 15 pounds left to lose.. You know the basics of getting back on track. Find a motivator that will get u back on track. Set a realistic time frame that u can reasonably lose the 15 pounds. Break that down to smaller goals. 5 pounds a month is what is set for myself.. August 1., is my target date to reach my goal weight. But I do break it down to each month cause I know it is achievable and realistic to lose 5 pounds for the next 3 months. Reduce your carbs now.. Cause your "wants" for carbs will lessen. I ate way too many sweets over easter. But I know I wiill prevail with my continued weight loss. Find and occasion or maybe a nice outfit that u want to buy when u get to your goal .. I have a wedding to attend early in august and I will buy an evening dress that will bedazzle my husband, no matter what the price .

Last week I hit my 50 pound weight loss ..have 15 pounds to go. I went out of town and ate way too many sweets on Easter Sunday. As a matter of fact I got sick today cause of it. I am getting back on track by :
Measure and weigh food
Eat at least 80 grams of Protein
Eat 800 calories per day
Drink at least 6 glasses waster
Exercise (swimming and walk/jog)
Keep a positive attitude
I set August 1 to reach my goal weight.
So happy I had the sleeve.

Question on Watermelon!
in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Posted
Watermelon is very high in sugar.but I love watermelon with salt. I bought a watermelon this weekend. Ate too much of it on Saturday. But restricted myself to one cup. I would certainly measure and eat no more than one cup per day.
