  1. I'm going to be sleeved on December 17th. I pretty much have no choice but to return to work on January 2nd which will place me right in the middle of purees. I'll be on purees for a week and then transition to soft food once my doctor allows it. I have a private office and access to a fridge and microwave. I've got a bunch of stage 2 Ella's pouches coming which I though would be more discreet than a baby for jar and plenty of espresso spoons to work with. I'll be drinking the majority of my Protein in Isopure drinks so I can hydrate and get my protein and not stress out so much on eating tons of protein. Does anyone have great easy to make and pack ideas for work lunches and Snacks during purees and soft foods? From what I'm reading the following are good, but I want more ideas. Thanks in advance! 1) Refried Beans and a little cheese 2) Cottage cheese 3) String cheese 4) Greek yogurt 5) Shelly's Baked Ricotta-- <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html'>http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html</a>

For the soft phase I did.... tuna, crab, Greek yogurt, of course my shakes, Jello, sugar free apple sauce. I was out almost a month though. However I still keeps "back ups" at my desk. All the best !!

  2. I'm almost 11 weeks out and I stalled a lot scale hardly moving in the beginning. But I was dropped 3 pants sizes! The working out and all the Protein, Lost fat but gained muscle which as y'all know weighs 2 times more than fat . The scale will catch up. I haven't lost much In The last 4 days but a week ago I was losing 2 pounds a day for 5 days! So I'm hopeful.

  3. Honestly for like 3 days I felt so weak and faint so i began to eat dinner each night like bake fish or a salad. Salad was actually allowed so I didn't cheat much but looking back I realize that was risky. My doctor thanked me after for doing so well my liver was quote "beautiful" I did lose 11 pounds so all in all not bad. I don't recommend cheating though cause you never know

  4. I am a month & 1/2 post op and just found out my freaking Thyroid is acting up. Had an ultrasound last week and I have a few goiters/noduals. Biopsy 12/5 & results on 12/13. Just wondering if your doctors checked for thyroid problems before surgery??? Well I am glad we found out about this problem early on. What could be more worse than having weight loss surgery and your thyroid gland is working against you?!?!? At least now I have a reason why I was having weight problems. Has anyone else had this problem?

Found out weeks before surgery that my thyroid was not active at all and in turn this why I gained so much weight. I was on the medicine 2 weeks prior to surgery. My SW was 274 on Sept. 18th I am now 244. Not as fast as I would like but I am down 3 pants size and for the past 4 days I've lost 2 pounds a day. I think we may lose slow but we're ok. My doctor said I'm right on point losing fat gaining muscle.
