Thanks for the reply. .it's almost 2 wks and surgeon office keeps telling me they still haven't received yet..they are really pissing me off.

I had my psy evaluation almost 2 wks ago. Still he had not sent in results. .maybe he finds me crazy...Lmao...how long did it take for psy to submit results to surgeon office? That's what holding up my surgeon office to submit my package to insurance for hopefully approve me..i'm getting nervous and stressing. .just want to be over this process already.

Your soooooo lucky, my was with a very serious not warm psychologist. .than I !the dreaded 526 computer test questions. It's also 2 wks..he still has not sent my results to the surgeon as of yet..how long did it take for your surgeon to receive psy evaluation results?

That's what happened to a family friend. .her face really thinned out, but prior to her wls, she had a reallly chubby face. That's the main reason my mom & sister are against me. They said my face will get to skinny and I will look 10 yrs older.

I'm going through the same thing. .my mom & sister was all for it in the beginning. .but ever since I got serious about it..going through with all the insurance hoops. .now they telling me, why would I want to have wls..when I'm not guarantee that I will lose the weight and I would have to take vitamin for the rest of my life. Especially since a close family friend had VSG..and she looks older,unhealthy and obsessive about losing more weight and that she looks 10 yrs older. They said that's how I will become and my hubby may not love me anymore if I look that horrible. I feel so hurt..mind u my sister is dieting and losing weight. Every time I see her I complement her on her body..it realllly hurt, cause they see how long I have a weight issue. .happy my hubby is the only one that is supporting my decision.

Fantastic job..can't wait to get on the looser bench..keep up the good work. What was your starting weight? And how much have you losed?

Feeling the same way, can't wait til I'm approved (that's if I do get approved) had psy evaluation 2/10..that was the last hoop..now still haven't heard from doctor office. If they submitted yet to insurance or if I failed psy test...maybe he thinks I'm crazy...lol

I'm feeling the same way also..I keep thinking I will not get approved. Especially since I have completed all my requirements..now all I'm waiting for is for doctor off to submit to insurance. They still haven't. I keep thinking, they did submit and I didn't get approved. Especially since my BMI is only 40.3..Keeping fingers crossed.

I'm feeling so stressed out today. May have surgery sometime in March. Today I feel sad,stress, nervous,scared. Like I want to cry. I should be happy, but my nerves is getting the best of me. I'm thinking it may be because of the outcome of the surgery. Anyone else's emotions getting the best of them?

Same thing happened to me I started in October they told me it was 6 months. .2 wks ago Nut called me and told me insurance changed beginning of year now it's only 4 months. Completed all requirements now waiting for them to submit to insurance. Hopefully they send out this coming week. I want to get this done already. .I happy,scared,nervous, stressed out soooooo much. I keep thinking if this will work for me..is it normal to feel soooooo nervous. .Plus keeping wls private is hard. .no one to speak to about my feeling except hubby.

Having hiatel hernia repair during my surgery also. Sometime in march..done with my requirements. Waiting doe psychologist to send results to my surgeon. It's been about 1wk..don't know why it's taking soooooo long. Maybe, I didn't pass or he thinks I'm crazy. .lol..I just need him to send results and then they will submit to insurance. That's another wait time. God only knows how long insurance will take before they approve. My doctor won't give date. .wish they would at least give me a tentative date.

Things everyone for the feed back. Also having hiatel hernia repair during surgery also. That's what I will tell the nosy nellys at work. I will find out if doctor can write elective surgery on my form also. Again thanks for the feed backs.

Sorry if this comes off as a dumb qquestion..do I let my job know after I get approval and date for surgery? Should I tell my manager than HR ? Or HR than my manager. I plan on taking 2-3 wks FMLA. my old manager left. Our department new manager is starting on Monday. Plus I plan on keeping my surgery private. Did any of you guys that kept your surgery private asked your surgeons not to put bariatric surgery on your request time off from work? Please advice need.

Same thing happened to me. This year my insurance change 6mnths requirement down to 4. Nut called me 2 wks ago to tell me the news. Was supposed to have surgery May/June now it may be early next month. So ready to get surgery behind me. Anyone else felt that way?

LOVE your attitude ! Not too nervous also. .just looking forward til summer when I can fit into cute summer outfits...vain? Oh well..looking forward to feeling good about the way I look.

Wow! Amazing. .I'm not telling many people also. First my mom and sister was all for it , but once I got serious and started my 6 mnths pre op testing and diet. They flipped the script on me..oh well! Just glad I stuck to it. Hope to be sleeve sometime in March. They have no idea how my weight had affected my self image..that's the only issue I haven't in my life..healthy kids, great hubby and decent career. My hubby is behind me 100%, but of course he's scared for me. Praying I have no complications. Sister and mom don't know the physical pain I have with my body aches, severe knee pain and heel pain. And working in health care you are constantly on your feet.

I'm telling most people I'm having hiatel hernia repair. .which will be repaired during surgery. .just not going to mention sleeve. .I have judgmental people all around me.
