  1. Hi everyone! I too have my appetite back! I have been dealing with it by drinking a lot. I drink water in the morning with my vitamins, then coffee, then a premier protein shake for breakfast, then coffee again. That's my breakfast. Then I drink on my 64 oz water till lunch. I eat my normal lunch, then one hour later, I start on my 64 oz water again till dinner. I eat dinner, then I usually have watermelon or berries in the evening, before bed I drink more! This is my daily routine. If I have a tiny taste of something, I try not worry about it. I have lost 125lbs. I'd like to lose 20 more pounds, but my doctor thinks I'm finished. I try to workout 1/2 hour 3 or 4 times a week. I use a treadmill, gazelle and bow flex. I've been thinking about everyone, I hope you are all well!

    Morning Sickness

Thanks for the ideas! I'm seeing my doctor Thursday. I will ask about them. I can't function like this any more. I get light headed and dizzy. I can't wait just to not feel sick all the time. I'll keep you posted.

    Morning Sickness

I'll be 6 weeks out Monday, and am having a awful time. Everything makes me dump. My surgeon suggested I go back to liquids as well. What kind of cracker do you eat? Saltines make me dump. Even if I only eat one! My pouch feels terrible! Eggs make me throw up, so I was told to stay away. Potatoes also make me dump. I'm sooo frustrated. I just want this awful feeling to go away. I'm loosing weight fast, but I'm miserable.

    PROTEIN HELP PLEASE!

I know I'm late responding, but I wanted to let you know, I had that same worry. Now I use propel. It has Splenda in it which is a little better. I only need half of what they recommend and it's great! It has vit b and other good things in it as well.
  5. Okay, I feel like all I'm doing is complaining, but.... I am having a terrible time with everything! At 5 weeks out, everything i eat and drink, like protein, goes through me in 3 hours, then I have diarrhea for about 3 more hours. I've tried making my protein with water, stayed away from lactose, tried not even using protein drinks. I've eaten eggs, soup, mashed potatoes, string cheese, chicken. It all goes down great, then it keeps going. I've limited my amounts to 2oz, then 1.5, now today tried 1oz, out it came. After that, I just drink water. I'm down 35 lbs from surgery, but I think it's because I can't eat! Anyone else going through this?
  6. Thank you all for your suggestions. I don't know if it was a stomach virus or constipation or what, but I am definitely calling my doctor tomorrow!! I am feeling a little better today, but am afraid to eat. I'll keep you all posted:-) thanks!
  7. Hi all. I have been doing great up to this point. I am four weeks out. The last two days I have been unable to have a bm. Well today, all I had was my protein shake at breakfast, and water, then right before lunch I got sooo sick I couldn't go, then finally started to, then I started to vomit foam. This all went on for over an hour! It was miserable! Has this happened to anyone else? Was it just the constipation? Can I take stool softeners this early out? I don't want to go through that again!!
  8. I'm four weeks out, and I remember not being able to do anything the first couple weeks! I would for myself to walk around when I got up to go to the bathroom. Then I'd get really dizzy. My doctor said to give it time, and it did get better. He also told me not to worry so much about the protein, but to stay hydrated! It will get better. Some days I am exhausted by 3:00. It gets better with time. Good luck to you!
  9. Awesome! Your hubby will be so surprised !
  10. Awesome! Your hubby will be so surprised !
  11. I'm still having problems with nausea also. I feel like I'm either nauseous or sick from trying to eat. My doctor says thi will get better when the pouch heals. I just want to eat something and feel good. Congratulations on you weight loss! That is amazing!
  12. Hello ladies. I don't have a g tube. Can you explain to me what it is for, why you have it and how long it stays in? I had my drain in for 9 days, and it was awful, so I can't even imagine how you guys are doing this. God bless!
  13. NO! You can never take NSAIDs. They can give you ulcers. My doctor said never take it again. Tylenol is fine. You can take Tylenol cold. Hope this helps, and hope you feel better soon!
  14. Try to keep your spirits up, we are in this for the long run! I'm sure we won't loose weight everyday, but over time, we will get there! I told myself I wasn't going to worry about how fast it came off. Now, it's hard not to, so I understand completely. You sound like your doing great! I had surgery the same day, and an having a hard time with the protein. I just started puréed food and had a scrambled egg, yum. We're all in this together. Be strong.
  15. I did the same thing.... I loaded up on all these protein foods and they gag me! I just got the premier from SAMs today. I hope it helps because I'm not getting all my protein in. I get hungry too. I'm a little disappointed about that. I do get full quickly. Yesterday my husband baked me a potato, then I mashed it and added broth, yum! I'd made enough for several meals and I didn't have any problems. I ate really slow. Then tonight I tried a scrambled egg. It was delish, even when it got cold. I'm sick of soup and don't like cottage cheese so I'm always looking for ideas. Baby food has been suggested to me, but I haven't tried that. I know we can have Greek yogurt. I hope someone else has more ideas :-)
