I live in Farmington, just south of St Louis. Who did your surgery? Sounds like a tough weekend.

Jackie, How many fills have you had total?

I was banded on 7/18/07 and had my first fill (3cc) about 3 weeks ago. At first it seemed like I felt restriction. I don't know if I'm just getting use to it, but it doesn't really seem like I feel that much restriction any more. My doctor told me he was being pretty aggressive putting 3cc in for the 1st fill. I'm not really sure how much my band will hold.?? Does anyone know what the maximum fill is on a band? It looks like there are several different types. Anyway, I gained a couple of pounds after the weekend and am just feeling discouraged!

I'm so glad I found this site!! I had my surgery on July 18 & am having the same problems. I went to my Dr for my post op appt & he said for me to progress to baby food consistency food. I have to admit I have eaten some soft food already. It just seems like I am starving!! Like you I have only taken a few bites trying not to stretch anything. I am glad I am not abnormal. I think from reading others postings, when we get adjusted we will be able to tell a difference.

I'm so glad I read your post. I had surgery on July 18th & have been wondering if the band is really there. At first I was so uncomfortable because of the soreness, but as I heal I just feel normal. I haven't really tested the band (I'm still on soft food--my Dr says baby food consistency), but I haven't really felt "full" yet. I have lost about 15 pounds, but I think that was mostly due to the pre-op/immediate post op period.

Hi! I got my lap band on July 18th. I've lost about 15 pounds so far. I feel great. The soreness is a lot better. I'm really feeling good. My Dr told me this week I could progress to baby food consistency. What kind of diet is everyone else on?
