    "Operation Operation"

I went to Pre-Op meeting today with 5 other patients and Bariatric coordinator who had RNY a long long time ago and it was very informative & reassuring. Our binders have so much information but very thorough and answers most questions! They said I won't have a button for morphine and that I will have to let nurse know when I need pain meds. I told my coordinator to go ahead and let my nurse know I WILL need it so go and have it ready. I believe they might think I have a drug problem because I may or may not have asked for the prescription for pain killers already. LOL. Trying to stay ahead of the pain! Next Thursday is the day!

    "Operation Operation"

So the results came back from Pre-Op tests and overall it was good so another hurdle has been passed. Vitamin D is low so I will supplement with a million Vitamin D3 (ok not that much) and a couple of my liver enzymes are elevated so they are going to take biopsy during the surgery. My question: Iis isn't everyone's liver enzymes elevated when they have a fatty liver???
  6. Less than two weeks to "Operation Operation!"

    Recovery?

Your start weight is same as mine and you are at weight lower than I am shooting for (185) so I have been following you. So I will have Dr remove my Gallbladder and Appendices while they are in there!

    Gummy Vitamins?

My NUT is not a fan of gummies primarily due to ZERO Iron in them, I get to use Pre-natal Vitamins Post-Op so that's interesting lol.

Yes it does feel good! Someone likened it to getting ready for first day of college. Very exciting!

BTW I bought the body scale and didn't think about the food scale. Now I will get one of those too!

      Thanks Terry!

  18. So the key is the temperature? Get the Water to 140 and then add or add to room temperature water and then heat up to 140?

    Anxious...waiting For Insurance

I am so sorry you are going through all this drama. Insurance companies amaze me. This surgery will cost them less over the years by eliminating all the issues from obesity. You would think they would push it through faster! I went through some issues (not add bad as you) getting approved. First off, the coordinator was out few weeks from a surgery and nothing moved while she was gone. I wanted surgery this year because deductibles are paid already this year and also next year our's is going up alot! When final sent it was denied because of 6 month but I had been to my PCP before and they didn't count it. My coordinator re submitted exact same paperwork and was approved! Ugh. Good luck and hold you get the golden ticket!
