  1. I'm on Forfivoh, which is a fairly large XR pill and I take it whole just fine. I started taking it whole on Day 2 and just explained to my surgeon that I couldn't crush it because it was XR. He understood. My suggestion would be to talk to your doctor and see what he suggests.

  2. Going into 5th day post-op and I've still got a lot of pain at the large incision. Never had any gas pain. I guess I managed to walk that off pretty quick. So far I'm only doing 1 shake per day but I think I need to up that to at least 2. I have yet to feel hunger pangs. I know when I'm hungry but it doesn't feel the same as it used to. I haven't weighed myself yet and I'm not going to until I go back to the doc Thursday. I don't want to be brought down by any weight I've gained from the surgery. I know it's still there because my legs are still swollen with retained fluid... I definitely need to drink more Water.< /p>

  3. 4 days post-op and I'm doing pretty good. No nausea and the only real pain is the large incision and the muscle underneath. The other incisions have started itching. It still hurts to get up from sitting or lying down so I'm still taking my pain meds. I'll probably stop in another day or so. Having trouble getting in all my fluids but I'm getting as close to goal as I can. It doesn't hurt to drink, I just don't feel thirsty. Burping, hiccups and coughing is painful. I'm on full liquids so I'm quite enjoying my cream Soups.< /p>

  4. I'm about 18 hours out. Things aren't too bad. I don't have any drains in and I've been up and walking just fine. I'm most sore when I try to get up. I've had quite a few bouts of nausea but they've been quick with the zofran when I need it. I also have an anti-nausea patch on so that's helped, too. All in all I feel pretty good, considering.

  5. Tomorrow is the day I will change my life forever :-)

My arrival time is 6:15am, surgery is scheduled for 8:15am.

I need to pack now, I'm not scared, little bit nervous but very calm, and happy. What I'm scared about is being away from my kids, especially the youngest 2year old, for 3 days. I should be home Friday but they never been without me. My mom is looking after them, but it's still hard for me.

Much the same with me. Surgery is scheduled for 8:30 tomorrow and I'm about to start packing. I'm not really nervous. I have no second thoughts or anything but I am sad about being away from my girls (4y and 16m). They're staying with their father for the next week and 1/2 since I won't be able to lift the baby at all. I may try to Skype with them Thurs or Fri.

  7. Surgery in 4 days. The excitement has subsided a bit and I'm not nervous yet. I'll probably be nervous on surgery day. I haven't packed yet but there's not much I'm taking with me... a few electronic necessities, a pillow and toiletries. I'm wearing my pajamas to the hospital and will be wearing them home. I feel like I'm forgetting to do stuff but I have no idea what.

  8. Hi! I've been lurking for a while. My surgery is the 4th. I've been on my pre-op diet for a week now and it's rough! Tomorrow is my pre-op at the hospital. I feel like I should be doing stuff around the house to get ready but am completely braindead on what. Anyone else feel like that?
