  1. I had mine on the 12th. I am refusing to weigh myself until my 2week post op. My hands are so swollen I don't think weighing myself would do me any good. Just keep your chin up so to speak . From everything I've been reading what we are going through is perfectly normal at this point.
  2. So surgery was on 2/12 and they told me I was slightly dehydrated before surgery and subsequently the have gave me lots of fluids and told me I would be a bit puffy. So when will it subside. My hands feel like they stay puff marshmallows hands I don't even like looking at it.
  3. I was originally, but now I am scheduled for Wednesday instead. I still don't have a time, but I expect to find out either today or tomorrow. I have been buying supplies a little bit at a time. I am sure that I have forgotten something. Best of luck to you justforme2014
  4. I started on my sublingual vitamin b supplement since I've been on my modified 2 week diet( I have three shakes and a tiny dinner). It really helped me, I can tell a difference if I forget to take it.
  5. Mine told me we could puree it ourselves too. Either way pureed chicken just doesn't seem edible to me.
  6. I have a listing from my Nutritionist as to what to eat a week after surgery. ( My surgery is in a week and since I dont plan on going out to go food shopping after I wanted to get everything ready before hand.) On my list there is baby food. i was wondering which ,if any, baby food tastes best or what did you do to survive the pureed food stage?
  7. Thank you for asking this. I am on day 7 and have only lost 5 and I thought I was doing something wrong.
  8. Me too I wanted it to have it done around Christmas/New Year. Since that was not an option I had to push it back to Feb 11th.
  9. My original although, more extensive than yours, did not have any that did not contain splenda or artificial sweetners. I contacted my nutritionist with some other options and she gave me the ok for other options as long as they conformed to certain perameters. Do you think yours might be willing to work with you on that?
  10. Funny. I guess everyplace is different. I am supposed to have 3 shakes and a dinner or 5 shakes and no "food". My surgery is a day after yours, and I too have been waking up way earlier than I should.(In my case 4am). I am a bevy emotions from scared to excited, and I suspected that is what is waking me up earlier than I would like. I agree it is very aggravating. I havent started journaling, but I am considering it.
  11. I am having my surgery on the 11th. I have been trying different protein powders for a while now, but I went to the hospital today for preadmission testing and it all became very real to me.
  12. Thanks I went ahead and got 8 different samples packs (4 different flavors) with About Time. I loved that they didn't just offer chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.
  13. Thanks Mrs. B. Since I wrote the original post here is what i have found as far as Stevia Protein. Jay Robb Nature's Plus Ultra Energy Shake- 25 g of progein 4 grms Fiber, 8 grms Carbs ( I love the chocolate), but add more milk then they list or else it is too sweet. I found Power crunch bar are sweetened with stevia- but they don't have the best stats. I have also tried Garden of Life Raw Protein- I had to put more stevia extract in it because it was a little bit lacking and took some effort swallowing down. VEGA One- I would skip this one though- it did something aweful to my stomach, and has been recalled in some places. Vega energy- Still haven't tried this one. Designer Whey- Just bought it havent' tried it yet. also have found Tera's Whey Protein. Just bought it havent' tried it yet Biochem Whey- Just bought it havent' tried it yet Still haven't found one I LOVE love.. but some are more palatable then others
  14. I tried googling. I didn't find anything, which is why I was hoping someone who had the surgery may have more experience finding a drink. What a nice warm welcome to this forum... thanks..
  15. Hi I am new to this world... I have just jumped my last hoop and visited with the nutritionist. So, I was given two options for my pre-op diet. Here is my question though.. All the shakes that are listed as meal replacements have suralose (splenda) or aspertame. I get nasty migraines from both, I like the dreamsicle by Jay Robb, but that is just a protein shake. Does anyone know of any meal replacement shakes that are made with stevia instead of splenda?
