Hi, this is my happiest post ever HW 260 SW 252 CW 243 Down 17 lbs since December 7th!

Hi Jennifer, I am probably about the same as you. Did well the first day and they let me go home (my choice) but had a rough second day, today is better but I really only got in 34 ounces and probably 20 gms of it at most were Protein, Water and broth seem to be most interesting to me and I have had a bit more pain than anticipated, did take pain meds a few times, sleeping seems to help, I am anticipating that tomorrow will be better.

I hope you are feeling better soon, that sounds rough - I still have no desire to even leave the house yet - maybe tomorrow?

I liked some of the flavors of GNC's isopure protein pre-op haven't tried them post-op yet but they are not that sweet and have 40gms of protein, I was going to try that later today

Wow guys, I can't believe the time has almost come, my surgery is tomorrow afternoon. The hardest part will be tomorrow as I don't check into the hospital til 1pm and I can't have anything other than a sip of H2O with meds all day. Since I finished my exams on Thursday, I have kept myself really busy with activities I won't be able to do for a while and it has really helped with the nervousness. I went cross country skiing on Sunday and to see the Hobbit. Today I went down-hill skiing - can't wait for my boots to not be tight around my legs, that was just plainly annoying to me today, I also had more muscle cramping than normal from being out of shape, skiing the day before and lack of carbs. I just kept thinking about how good this should feel next winter. Thank you all for your posts and sharing, has made this journey a lot easier! See ya on the losers bench. How are you doing with that? I am having surgery on Tuesday and I am really not all that fond of them now on the pre-op diet so I am a bit nervous about next week. So far the best have been GNC's total lean - the one's that are already prepared although they are kind of pricey. A friend who went through this said to not get to attached cause what she liked before was different than after, so keep trying!

Oh no - I bought this too, and the Thai Ginger one.... I hope I like them... sounds like you have had a lot of different ones to find out if you like them or not - wonder if after surgery they will taste different to you as I have read on here from others? Good luck to all the Sleevers today and this week, wishing the best and prayers sent! A friend of mine said not to spend too much money pre-op as the protein shakes she liked before, she disliked afterwards so I am just trying to get small samples for now and will wait til after to make big purchases.

I know what you mean about being in the dark. I was required to have two NUT visits and he told me, you'll get the pre-op and post-op eating plan at our next meeting. I was like really? Give it to me now. I want to know.. NOW..lol Hang in there..it's a coming! When I got it..I was like oh okay..this is easy. You truly don't get to eat much on either pre or post...but I was anxious to get it anyway. Hey Jerzygurl, I see your date is tomorrow - I will be thinking about you - can't wait to hear the details. I am having surgery in Alma, Michigan - that actually do it where I am from but my insurance says.....so that is what I do, works out ok since I am a nurse at the hospital and I don't have to be taken care of by people I will work with in the future.

Surgery is scheduled for December 17, I start the pre-op diet on the 7th. I have 7 final exams to take the 9th - 12th. I suggested my husband move out for the week, I am anticipating that I will be a mess. How about you?

You are so right - I don't have to like him - I do need to trust that he can do the job and do it right. My mom recently saw a doctor who personally I wouldn't want to spend 5 minutes alone with him in a room but he is the best in the region at what he does so of that's who I want her to see. I do like my surgeon as well so that is just a bonus!

Awesome Clexie, glad to have the company - what are you studying? I am working on a Master's of Science - Physician Assistant. Just want this semester done so I can spend a few weeks working on myself and move forward. And my husband is hiding already, I think.

I hear you on the nervously eating thing. I still need to take final exams prior to my surgery date and combined they both make me nervous and distracted - can't wait to get this done and move forward.
