    Mind Games

Just be confident that this could be what will help you. I had my sleeve last march, I have lost about 68 lbs. I have been a slow looser, but that's ok too, I didn't have any problems with the surgery at all, no complications, no vomiting nothing. I can eat most foods. I did have a little bit of a hard time getting salmon down when I could finally eat it. But now can eat it. I would do it again if I had too. I just keep telling myself I do not need to go crazy bc I have and am loosing the weight, meaning getting the big head. I am still same person, only smaller. I trust in. God and he is my encourager.

    Struggling with enough water

I saw my nut last week, she suggested if I liked Koop aide when I was a kid to try the new liquid kool aide in my water, squirt just enough for flavor. I bought cherry and orange, first time I tried the cherry, and had too much in my camel back. Next time tried just a squirt of orange and it was wonderful, it helps me w the water intake!

BonitaCar and myself both had Dr. Brengman as our surgeon! have you already started going to the monthly support group there? Hello! I have been so busy I hadnt had a chance to get on here, I am doing ok, Dr Brengmen a little disappointed , saw him tuesday and my weight stayed the same. I think I am at a stand still and have been since August! I am upset that I can't seem to break this stage I am in. However, my life has been very stressful and not getting enough rest. Last evening I was asleep early and got up this am, lost 1lb! So yeah for the loss of the 1 lb!

    Weekly Diet

I did the same thing I lost 2 lbs, and today I gained it back!!!!! Makes no sense to me. grrr!!! So one of our patients came in the office today, she told me she had same surgery. I work in docs office. She was telling me that when I eat I should eat veggies first, then bite of protein, then back and forth until I end w the protein. She called the veggies, or fruit the scrubber. She was saying this would help in getting me to the bathroom more often and most likely help with the weight loss. So now I have 2 things to start working on, drinking fluids more often, and remembering to eat my side dish first and alternate it. I was told by the nut to eat all protein first??

    Weekly Diet

My sleeve was in march, I too am losing very slowly. My doc says too slow. My problem is not drinking enough fluids. I eat a lot of protein. I work full time, so in the am for breakfast I either have a pouch of oatmeal w dried cranberries, or I will have an egg muffin I make with egg, cheese and turkey sausage. For lunch I will take my lunch, ex would be a half salmon patties, or small can of tuna (lunch box size) sometimes about 3 ritz crackers. I will also have sugar fee jello or pudding. I have noticed if I eat more protein I tend to lose a lb or two. I have been at same weight now for 2 months, grr!!! For dinner I will have my veggies, and a meat not beef. I eat very little. Sometimes will eat my breakfast muffin for dinner. I see my doc tomorrow.. Hopefully my appt goes well. I know how you are feeling, it gets stressful. I just have to make sure I am positive..

    Struggling with enough water

I have been using a camelback, it seems to be better for me when drinking. It doesn't allow air to get in and I also have problems with getting water down. A friend of mine who was also sleeved told me to put a squirt of lemon in my water, or a slight bit of flavoring. I have tried it, it is a little better. I was a big water drinker before surgery. I have got to get back to the fluids!

    Eggs?

I had surgery march 4, so far I have lost about 68 lbs, I am losing it very slowly. My doc said too slow. It stresses me out. I have been at a stall for last 2 months..Grr!! In talking about eggs, I have taken 3 eggs, and mixed with eggs whites, to get a little over 2 cups of egg mix. I add a little shredded cheese to it. While mixing it I am cooking up a lb of turkey sausage. I drain the sausage of fat if there is any. I pour egg mixture up half full in muffin tin. Once it is all poured, I add large tablespoons of sausage to each muffin. Top it off with shredded cheese. Bake it at 350 for about 12 minutes. Take it out cool, take butter knife and run it around the egg muffin. Take them out cool and freeze in freezer bag. When I am running out the door for work, I grab a muffin in microwave container, get to work heat it up for about 1 min 45 sec. I love it!
