  1. Vsg 12.12.13, 5'8" tall; hw 293 surgery 240 current 165-169 original goal was 175 got down to 154 but too low for my taste. my happiest zone is 161-165. I enjoy practicing several types of yoga(hot, iyengar, power, vinyasa, gentle, yin), pilates, spin classes and barre ????????????????????????

  3. Avocado was hard for me to tolerate initially (first 6 months out really) but now I'm 16.5 months out and love it.... Initially it caused a stinging pain and my nut said its pointless in the beginning cause they have little Protein. Now I enjoy it with my sushi hand rolls on a regular basis ????????????


  4. I'm 15 months out and recently tried sushi rolls first time post op a few weeks ago as I missed it dearly ???????????? I ❤️????sushi and at one point had it 2-3 times a week prior to surgery. At this point I only get rolls without any rice - spicy tuna or salmon or scallop types with avocado -- i take my time and can only get in 3-4 pieces of one roll. its soooo good and i dont miss the rice one bit???? i wait about 20/25 minutes before attempting 4th piece


  5. Happy Surgiversary Again to All! Well We (I) made it my Surgiversary and one year later, I am reporting in a little short of my goal. I gained and loss in the last few weeks with celebrating my birthday and festivities from the holidays. But the best thing of all is at least I'm not where I use to be... Extremely Grateful, Thankful and Blessed! But I am noticing my appetite is increasing and I am able to take in more. Crazy thing is I have found myself eating almost a whole row of chips ahoy Cookies. I never did this before. Pray for me weight loss fam, that this will not turn into a habit.

    Totally know what U mean. I "tested" my sleeve at about 6 months out to see if I could handle Cookies and I got in an entire "sleeve" of gluten free sandwich cookies within 5 minutes ???????????? I was shocked and even more shocked that I could have kept going cause I felt little to no discomfort. Oreos and I cannot be around each other for very long or I will attack them ferociously ???????????????? it's all about balance and discipline. I'm glad my sleeve won't allow me to tolerate too much or any cake or fried foods, Pasta, rice, bread. I do enjoy chips and crackers occasionally sometimes too much ????

    Im feeling quite bony these days ???????????? my hip Neck knee collar wrist ankle bones are all super visible and hard to the touch #wlsProblems


  8. I would also like to know if people get very hungry post op? I am one week, on mushy foods, but I am hungry a great deal of the time. I can't eat much at once, trying to drink as much as I can, but find I need to eat every few hours, physical hunger, not psychological. Do people experience this?

    Didn't really notice hunger until about 7 months out when I started kicking up my workouts -- I workout nearly 7-9 times per week including hot yoga, power yoga, Pilates, barre and spin classes so I burn a lot!! Some days I do a double workout (power yoga & spin) so I burn over 1000 on those days and really need to replenish. Everyone's different first few months I was emotional because everyone around me was eating what they wanted when they wanted and I was so incredibly restricted especially with post op gastritis and inflammation. It gets better just be patient. Now I can tolerate Cookies chips and crackers way too easily ???????????? I have to watch out!


  9. Hi! I'm just stopping by to say hi. I've been so busy lately. I haven't had the chance to check in. As far as WL goes, almost a year out and things are slowing down. I weighed myself Monday and and I'm hoovering around 174. I'll do a real weigh in on Saturday and check back in.

    How was the first Thanksgiving for everyone?

    Thanksgiving went pretty well - I took a spin class that same morning because I knew I wasn't going to deprive myself of my very own homemade baked goods (New York style cheesecake and carrot cake with cream cheese icing ????) I had a tiny bit of just about everything (ham, lamb, chicken, collards, stuffing, sweet potato, turkey stew, mushrooms) and I just nibbled on my plate for a few hours ???????????? I got in under 1700 calories for the entire day. I track routinely on my fitness pal app. So Proud of me! How was your 1st turkey day?

    I eat quite a bit too these days I think due to my intense workouts (hot yoga, power yoga, Pilates, barre and spin) some days I'm over 2000 calories easily and sad to say a couple times I went over 3000 ???????????????????????????? but those were days where eating started at midnight and ended at 11pm???? including "bad" Oreos and rich Protein Cookies - I have to be careful but I'm thankful with my activity level and the muscle tone I've built thus far. Still can't eat much meat at one time- literally only a few bites before I get "full" or a little uncomfortable ????
