Today was one of those magical days where in the world, all was good! Koosh~

The ups and downs of that damn scale!!! If I eat too many carbs, yet have the right amount of calories, the scale will either not move or move in the direction that I don't want it too. If I eat low carbs and eat less calories with exercise, the scale does the same or I lose weight. WHAT IS THE RIGHT COMBINATION?!?!?!!!???

Relief57, that may be it too. I have high blood pressure, the kind that likes to retain water and I have been eating a lot of beef sticks. All processed meats has tons of sodium in it so I am gonna try to go 'clean' and see what happens. I love a beef stick when I'm running to meetings and don't have time to eat. Geez, this is hard.

Woo-Hoo Baby! Back on the losing side!!! Never thought being a Loser would feel so good

Is anyone facing Bitchiness while in post op? My teens can get me going from 0-10 in 2 minutes flat. I'm also peri menopausal too but this is ridiculous.
-
@BladeFox I'm with you!! Have very low tolerance for annoyance & teens right now the other day my man had to gently let me know "it's not them, it's you" cause I was complaining about my kids, people at work etc... I'm 2.5 weeks out
-
@BladeFox but its a little bit them too Hopefully we will settle in to this and be back to our charming selves. Battle on sister!! This is an amazing journey!

It took me a week to lose the 4 pounds that I picked up during a conference. Ouch! I hope to never do that again. Now I'm back to what my ticker reads...
-
I bought a can of Tamales and smashed it! More carbs than protein, but loved every bit of it!!!
-
My ass is sore! With only two day of my 4-days per week routine and I am sore as h _ _ _!!!
-
Headed out to the gym tonight to get my one-hour in with weights. Now since I am six-weeks out, I can begin the slow migration to weight lifting, and I do mean slow with 10 pound weights first. Nice and easy, slow and smooth.
-
Nervously stepped on the scale this morning and yep...I gained 4 lbs. I knew it would be something because of the conference, so me and the hubby went to the gym, came home and took a d_ _ _ and I took a shower and afterwards the scale said I lost 2 pounds. This goes to show you that once you return to our new normalcy, the weight will slide back off. No real worries~
-
So paranoid about getting on the scale after eating well at a conference. Maybe I will hold off until I can put in some gym time this weekend-still don't know if that will tame the nerves...eeek!

The food is sooo good!!! I'm learning that I still have bigidest because I was filling my plate up and trying to eat it all yet only being able to eat a corner. How wasteful.
-
I almost had an episode yesterday when I ate some beef medallion smothered in a mushroom sauce. I chewed soo much and still it got stuck. Had to excuse myself and go to the bathroom where I was sounding like a beached whale, burping crazy and loud and jogging in place to help it to go down or just move. Goodness gracious alive!!!!

Headed out for a few days where uncontrolled eating is a norm. I am hoping that I do enough walking to lose any weight that I gain and that I make great food choices while there.
-
The boss wants me to prepare a justification document for the executives before I leave for a conference tomorrow!!! I hate it when she does this, as if this is the first time of her hearing this. This kind of stress makes me want to eat like I used to. Help!?
-
Hang in there Blade. Is she one of those bosses that can't stand to have you miss a day because she'd be lost without you? Just think of it as job security. You must do good work because she didn't pass it off on someone else. And just think tomorrow you'll be away from the office, away from the boss and enjoying some (hopefully) downtime. Hope the conference is interesting. Be safe,,,eat safe.

Ticker says that the currents are strong and that I'm still out at sea LOL! I may need to change my swimming pattern ~

I believe that my body no longer wants 400-500 calories per day. WHY? Because when I eat 800+ calories and choose more of a variety like sweet potatoes, 1 cup chili, and always keep protein first to get my 60-70 grams in...I lose weight. My body is like saying, enough with crumbs and feed me!
-
Only hoping that my butt stays tight today! HA...no really :\
-
Don't know what happened this morning, but I had a near total embarassing moment this morning at work! I was running to the restroom, tight, and sweating, praying that I would make it in a stall before an explosion (TMI). Well, I made it in the stall, but it was too late. What was that?!? I thought that only happened to people that get the RnY! Luckily I live close to work and left, showered, and returned. Real Bad

I may have to give up Salmon and Talapia for a while. Even moist my baby pouch doesn't like it for now. Grrrrr!!!
-
I am ready to crock pot a pot roast with a side of boiled cabbage and mashed potatoes! I'm having fun testing out my soft-solid pouch!!!
-
Good Girl, experience new things its the only way your going to know what you can and can't do???? Thats how I see it. I am very excited every time I try new things and they work out for me. I make this great seafood casserole with haddock, scallops and shrimp and mix it all together with a little crab or lobster stuffing on top and sprinkle it on and bake it, oh yum and fish is so good for you!!!

I have noticed that when I eat more calories and exercise, I lose weight. I think my body is saying...FEED ME SEYMORE! LOL!
-
I haven't ventured to the wild side of eating like you with the chicken breast and shrimp (HA). I have tried chicken thighs and some beef. Beef is a bit harder however, so I have to be careful and everything MUST be moist. Don't want another episode that I had last week. Maybe I will give shrimp a try. Is it broiled or grilled?
-
I just did the cooked shrimp that you get in the seafood counter at the grocerie store, didn't do anything else with it, just cocktail sauce and the shrimp!!! I had a bite of my hubbymans steak this weekend, and it was nice and juicy and soft and it just melted in my mouth so I was ok, but if it was tough and hard to chew then I know I would have not had a good time with it?

Resurrection day was beautiful! A wonderful 75 degrees day, a walk for 1.5 hours and family around the traditional dinner fare which I am proud to say I only ate chicken, a tsp of potato salad and some spaghetti. Total, about 1/4 cup of food. I am so proud of myself and this blessed day.
-
Went to dinner with my family and accidentally sipped water with a straw!!! Guess what? NOTHING! Absolutely NOTHING! No, gas, no heartburn, no air, no nothing~. Now I want to do it again.
-
This weekend, I am taking my spring clothes out and hanging them up. Since I haven't changed in sizes yet, some of them will probably work, but just to test, I am taking out some of my smaller clothes as well for June and July when I hope to be able to wear them. Excited to try on clothes for fit this weekend!

I am happy to report that I am back to pureed or super soft foods and will only do those things during work hours. I will begin back on the soft solids on the weekends and evenings.

I always do too much of something while going thru these stages. Today, I had the dumping, throwing up syndrome for almost 4 hours. I had to get my hubby to pick me up and coworker drive my car and get home. Called the nurse and she said that the fish I cooked for dinner last night was reheated and probably got too dry. Still not back to normal.
