After my surgery I wasn't hungry at all, it wasn't till like 2 months after when I started eating food! I did small amounts cus that's all my stomach fit but little by little I started feeling hungry. I would serve my self small amounts but I would pinch here and there! That's why I'm scared I stretched my stomach pouch! Right now I'm working on exercising and eating better!I'm just curious how has your hunger level been since surgery. I think about that now and wonder how I am going to make it through not eating real food for a while. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />No game reacted to this -
Hate watching my children eat things I cant eat! It's so tempting, and they try to not eat in front of me but I can still smell it! I'll stay strong, this can't beat me!!

I think it was Fiddleman that suggested it but using a Casin Protein Shake before bed helps your body heal and keeps you full through the night. I will do this or something not hard on my system like some cheese.< /div> I think I like that idea, maybe drink a small amount of Protein shake before bedtime! Thanks!!!!
Thanks for that, I'll give that a try!!
Today I did very good with my meals and exercised was great, felt very good! But I can't sleep right now and I'm having cravings! I don't want to eat anything, I did so great today that I don't want to ruin it! How can I avoid feeling this way? This carb withdrawal is real!!
I started at 298 size 22-24/3x and I weigh 245 right now size 16-18/LWhat was your starting weight/size? Your size now? That would probably help understand what is going on if you're willing to share.
Oh boy, I'm starting to see my problem!I think that Ensure has like 250 calories and 40 carbohydrates.ItsMe2033 reacted to this
Ensure? That's a first I've heard that. I'm sure it's probably got a lot of sugar and carbs? so that might be part of your problem. I do a Premier Protein shake..their pretty good considering. A hamburger? Not the best idea but I'm not judging...we ALL have our moments. Sounds like your not keeping track of what your eating? I use MyFitnessPal and it's a lifesaver! Watch out for little things...a pat of butter on your broccoli' date=' a dab of Salad Dressing, coffee creamer...all those 40 calories here and 25 there really add up when your eating X calories a day. I would suggest sticking to lean Protein and fresh veggies...no carbs. I've logged everything I've ate and drank for the last 8 months. I compared what I ate (carbs, protein, etc) to my biggest weight loss months (I chart and graph everything... I'm a dork...I know) but it helped. It's hard to know what your doing wrong until you know what works and what you did right. Once you figure that out, stick to what works best for you <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote'] Thanks, I'll try that app! I fell in love with broccoli after my surgery but I eat it with a little low fat mozzarella cheese! I also have been drinking a lot of water! I'll try to put more attention to what I eat! I'm hearing a lot of premier Protein Shakes, r they really good? And I'm eating salad with cooked chicken or chicken by itself, is that okay to take? I'm sorry...I am very ignorant with nutrition things!
really??? And nurse at the hospital recommend it! She said it would help! What kind of Protein Shakes do u recommend?Protein and veggies! You can't go wrong! The sleeve can stretch but not back to its original size so if you stick to dense Protein that should keep you satisfied. Why the ensure drink? That more of a meal replacement rather than a protein supplement
Im sorry your having so much trouble. I cannot eat a whole hamburger and Im 10 months post op. What size bougie did you get? I think you need to go on a diet for three days to test the pouch size? Im not sure exactly what it is but have read about it a couple times here on this website. My advise would be to go back to the basics. Remove any bread' date='rice, sweets bad food from your house. When its there you will eat it! Eat Protein first then vegetables only, do this for about a month . After that slowly and in minimal amount reintroduce carbs. Pick healthy ones like potatoes, sweet potatoes, whole grain rice ect...Try to limit any fattening stuff to once a week only and 1 thing. Measure your food using a scale and measuring cups. If you want to eat something eat only the serving suggestions. If you feel hungry between meals drink Water. signal for thirst can feel like hunger but it is not. Another thing I have noticed is acid can also make me feel hungry. Make sure your not feeling that and confusing the feelings. Try to keep Protein at 70 or more grams a day, Calories at 800 Max if you have allot more weight to lose. Drink 64 or more ounces of water a day. Take your Vitamins daily! Start a new exercise rutein. 30 minutes 3-5 days a week. Pick something you like. Dancing, tennis, swimming, yoga, zumba ect....Take all the negative thoughts throw them out the door and start a new day.Good luck Stay strong and NEVER give up! Please add your starting weight and what you are eating now <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote'] Thanks...I'm gonna do what ur saying. I'll start how I started when I had my surgery! I'm just scared that I have stretched my stomach! Is that even possible?mariamitani reacted to this
It's been a year since my surgery and I only lost 50lbs! I have been eating very good and I'm scared! I don't want to go back to the weight I had and scared I'm making my stomach stretch and making it bigger! Right now I can eat a whole hamburger, a few weeks after my surgery I couldn't, I barely would eat a 1/4 and I would be very full! With time I feel I'm able to eat more and more! I don't know what to do! I'm trying to exercise as much as I can and eating somewhat good! I'm at this alone and don't have no one to talk too! Am I the only one going through this problem?
So hard! :(
