  1. I feel the same way about synthrax nectar. It's the whey isolate. The matrix has different types I protein.
  2. I am at six weeks out and still can't get that many calories in most days. Focus on the Water and Protein and if you get those in I wouldn't worry about the calories.
  3. I had the back pain! It was my worst pain. I think it's because my abdominal muscles were so traumatized I wasn't using them to support my back as I should. Six weeks out now and my back is fine. Hope yours gets better soon!
  4. I applied online back in November they called to verify info and get my dr to write a prescription maybe late December. I got 4 18 packs of premier Protein, two large bottles of liquid Vitamins (with no label or paperwork showing what vitamins are actually in them) and the scar cream about 10 days ago. I google the names on the scar cream (specially compounded by their pharmacy) and it has three great components all compounded together. I think I need to call and see what the vitamins have in them. Dosage is 1.5 tsp 4x a day. If it has everything I need all in there it's probably worth it, but if I am still gonna be taking pills I don't know!
  5. Love synthrax matrix! It's the only one I use.
  6. I'd love to participate next round also! Jessica.stw@gmail.com
  7. I use an app called chimes that does just that!
  8. I'll buck the trend. My husband would have done whatever I wanted, but I just didn't see a reason for him to be there when I was out/under and honestly when I wanted to sleep I just wanted to be alone. He came a few hours post op and stayed a few hours...walked with me, etc. But I had no desire for him to be there overnight either. I sent him home to be with the kids even though my mother in law lives on the property and could have handled them (11 & 15...honestly they could have handled themselves). Everyone is different with pain/sedation/etc. I knew from previous experience I would rather be left alone to recover. I hate being fussed over, even when I was in labor it was "hands off." He could be there but leave me alone, LOL!
  9. I do this too and love it! I also tried mixing it with Choc protein powder and it was like Choc pudding or cookie batter!
  10. Dannon Light & Fit has Splenda not sugar. So if you don't mind artificial sweeteners it's only got the milk sugar (lactose) nothing added.
  11. Three weeks out I was about 400 calories a day (just looked back over MFP). I am almost six weeks now and averaging about 500 cal/day.
  12. Thanks Ashcase! That was really helpful!
  13. Crazy! Is your dr concerned with what you are going thru? Have any explanations for you?
  14. I'm so sorry! That must be so frustrating!!!! I wish I had something to offer you. You've consulted with your Dr/Nut I am sure. Did they have any advice or input?
  15. I can't figure out how to add by username on MFP only by email! So please add me! Jess9395 or Jessica.stw@gmail.com
  16. Just sent a request! Would love to hook up with folks. I am Jess9395 or Jessica.stw@gmail.com
  17. I am six weeks out now and I can't eat "normally" at a restaurant yet, though some can. I went to Disneyland this week and had to pack a lot of food with me. I did eat cream Soups and chilli. I split a flaky fish entree with DH. Maybe go for Breakfast and get scrambled eggs or an omelette? Or go with the spa idea!
  18. Ditto! I am five weeks out and would never eat if I waited till I was hungry.
  19. I am five weeks out and still struggle bc I can only eat a few bites to a quarter cup. I do a protein shake first thing and make it with protein plus milk by Lucerne. Sometimes I add in PB2 or some Greek yougert to up the protein. I get around 30 from that or a bit more and it helps a lot. Then if at the end of the day I am still not there I try to do a Bariatric Pantry hot chocolate which gives me 15 or 24 if I mix it with milk. I can hardly ever finish the whole one, but it still gives me some protein to up my numbers!
  20. I use these... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007JX59FC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1388728093&sr=8-1
  21. Thanks! I will check those out!
  22. What brand? I have tried two so far and they take like 20-30 mins to dissolve! Would love one that dissolved quickly.
