    Tea Drinkers

Omg checked out David’s tea online.... I’m so excited for a replacement for Teavanna!!! And I can order online. Thank you so much! I have a cold press pitcher too and love it! I don’t sweeten but stevia is a great choice for those who do.

    More about the "girls"

Another great resource— http://www.bratabase.com Be careful at Victoria Secret. The girls there will try and make you fit into a size they carry and they carry a very limited size range.

    More about the "girls"

First, make sure to get a truly accurate size, most women wear the wrong size in the US. A good place to start— https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/measuring https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/manual_sizing_guide Then figure out shape— https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/shape_guide You can also search the site for weight loss— https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/search?q=Weight%20loss And for recommendations. That site can be truly life changing as far as bras go!

    Justin’s Vanilla Almond Butter

Those wild friends ones look great too bad they are discontinued! Yeah you won’t find nut butter with zero sugar because the nuts contain natural sugar, but I try to find ones with no added sugar anyhow!

    Waking up after sugery

I always seem to “come to” mentally later than physically after surgeries. Like I feel like I wake up in the middle of a conversation, already alert and sitting up and mid sentence. So clearly I’ve already been awake! Case in point once when I had wrist surgery the doc came in and gave me the full report of how it went (there were some issues).... never remembered having the conversation. After my plastics I literally first became aware of things while sitting up and mid sentence with DH and my surgeon! Makes me wonder what I’ve unknowingly said!

    Wow! The cost of Surgery.

My bill was well over 60k between the hospital and surgeon. Luckily my max out of pocket is only $2000.

    Starbucks

I drink plenty of coffee and and caffeine and have since early out. My surgeon is fine with it.

Excessive school gym class for absence

In the future see if logging PE time during the days off will count, it always did for my kids who spent sometime on independent study for various reasons multiple times over the years. We would make sure and include physical activity—hikes, stand up paddle boarding, etc. and such. As long as we logged it and I signed the log they counted it.

Can we talk about boobs and bras?

My insurance requires a certain amount to be removed and then it’s covered. I think it was 500g. I didn’t have that much left, LOL!

    Justin’s Vanilla Almond Butter

If it fits your plan, go for it! Something with more sugar than Protein wasn’t on mine. Plus, I tried to spend the early days weaning myself off added sugar and killing off the cravings. I’m going on five years out and still avoid added sugar for the most part.

That’s a lot of added sugar. More sugar than protein.
  16. Its not hunger it’s acid reflux. Make sure you’re on a proton pump inhibitor. If you’re on one you may need to up the dose. Really common to have acid during the healing phase and it mimics a gnawing hunger. That timing and reaction are pretty classic for acid.
  17. Ask them if milk counts. Protein Drinks don’t, and my guess is milk may fall into that category because it’s high in Protein especially if you get fairlife or Lucerne protein plus milk. I totally get calorie free drinks and fruit juice is pure sugar but milk is a great source of protein. I understand your plan. Many surgeons have similar ones. But many don’t and if you have these limitations you may need one whose plan is structured differently. You asked for ideas, that’s an out of the box one, but find a surgeon whose plan allows milk and small frequent meals.

    Bypass and gallbladder issues?

Mine prescribes actigal for anyone who still has their gallbladder at the time of surgery for about six months (during the rapid weight loss phase). I had mine out years before m.

I’m seriously curious what part of that you think lays it all to rest? Newbies—I think the above posts will give you a great starting point, but definitely do your own research including speaking to your team.
  20. REALLY common to have a hiatal hernia when you are obese. It takes about 2 minutes and a couple stitches to fix it while they are in there. I had one fixed during the surgery. No biggie.

    Bypass and gallbladder issues?

I assume you mean gallstones not kidney stones? Rapid weight loss can cause gallstones no matter how you lose it. There is a prescription called Actigal that can help prevent them.
  22. My mantra is almost always “you trusted your surgeon to cut you open, trust their food plan.” However... with your limitations (and I do think allergy testing may be eye opening) i think you might do well considering a surgeon with a different meal plan. Many are ok with a number of small meals to get your protein in (I’m going on five years out and couldn’t do it all with three meals with real food even now). Most are fine with milk. And chewing food 50 times seems excessive. My plan only says 20!

Wait what part would make people less critical? The bad science? Them not showing up to their own lawsuit? The sticker they put on their label to change their years old claim (which seems to me to be admitting to it having been misleading)? What makes you so happy with it? I hope you aren’t counting the full grams they’ve been advertising. You know there is no blood test to make sure you’re getting enough protein (blood protein checks for kidney function) only muscle loss.
